This product was incredibly easy to set up. I simply unpacked it, opened the app, made a few settings, and I was done. I use it on the automatic setting, and everything functions flawlessly. Incredibly quiet device. The Dyson app shows real time data from your phone, and you can control the fan speeds without walking over to the unit. My only concern is that I wasn't able to connect it to my wi-fi 6 network (AX) 5.0GHz. It connected just fine to my phone hotspot using 2.4GHz band.

This has a great design but the auto sense is not very sensitive. I first turn the unit on and the PM2.5 shows 005 a few seconds later 003 than goes to 001 and remains there. My house has forced hot air. We had the ductwork vacuumed out. I turned off all of my air purifiers during the process so the sensors don’t get damaged or clogged. After the cleaning was done I turned on all of the air purifiers. All were set to auto and all ramped up the fans due to bad air quality except the Hushjet. The Hushjet PM2.5 numbers did raise to 036 and the fan speed did raise to level 4. I could tell from power usage what level the fan was at. Sitting alongside the Hushjet was a Dyson PH2 detecting the same air shown PM2.5 over 100. They both appear to have similar air detections systems yet didn’t see things the same. The Hushjet is quiet but when set to level 3 it has a strange harmonic sound. Access to the filters is very easy. Press the two side tabs and lift. The base of the unit is the larger outer filter. Lower the unit back down the inner fan guard centers the carbon filter and it locks in place. That could not be any easier. This does not have a remote control. You can run the unit from the controls on the front panel or from the Dyson app on a smartphone. With the app you have more options like night mode and timer. You can also see the air quality data. As for power usage I am very impressed. I decided to see what the power usage of this unit at each fan level. Only showing power usage in watts Plugged in turned off in standby mode 0.5 watts Fan level 1. 1.6 “ Fan level 2. 1.9 “ Fan level 3. 2.2 “ Fan level 4. 3.2 “ Fan level 5. 4.3 “ Fan level 6. 5.7 “ Fan level 7. 7.2 “ Fan level 8. 9.4 “ Fan level 9. 12.1 “ Fan level 10. 17.5 “ Night mode is the same as level 4. 3.2 “ Update on the auto sense. Auto sense does work just a little slower and less sensitive than I expected. Picks up on burnt paper and ramped up on high showing extremely bad air quality PM2.5 over 4000.

I’ve been using a Levoit purifier for the past two years, and it’s been great, flawless performance and never a single issue. However, that one was designed for smaller rooms and cost around $130. Now that Dyson has launched this new smart purifier, I decided to give it a try, and honestly, it’s probably the most affordable air purifier Dyson has ever released. If you’re a fan of Dyson’s classic bladeless design, this model might feel a bit different. It doesn’t have that signature futuristic look, but personally, I still think it looks sleek, modern, and stands out compared to most purifiers on the market. This purifier has everything you could ask for: Real-time PM2.5 and PM10 readings Timer and sleep mode Automatic fan speed adjustment based on air quality A display showing air quality, HEPA filter health, and pre-filter status The filter handles it all — pet hair, smoke, dust, and allergens, and it performs exceptionally well. I’ve been using it in my bedroom for a week now, and I have no complaints. It’s whisper-quiet, and the display turns off completely in sleep mode, which is perfect for nighttime use. I’d say this is a solid alternative for anyone looking for a budget-friendly air purifier. If you’ve always wanted a Dyson but don’t want to spend $500–$600, this is a great option. It’s not as large as their bladeless models, yet not too small either — around 30 inches tall, give or take — and its rounded design makes it easy to fit into most spaces. The only downside is that die-hard fans of Dyson’s bladeless design might find it hard to see this as a “true” Dyson. But if you’re just getting into Dyson products and want to try one without breaking the bank, this is a great starter model. The app is also extremely easy to use, super intuitive, and you can even buy replacement filters directly through it. Overall, I really like the direction Dyson took with this purifier. It’s smart, functional, quiet, and priced right. Definitely worth considering.
