As you may see in the first photo, I inherited a nice sturdy metal cabinet, that I decided would be where my fasteners would go. I tried several different boxes, and Amazon’s box won the lucky draw of fitting the best. Still, the boxes are roomy and configurable, with an assortment of bin sizes. As you can see in the third photo, the boxes also work well without the bins. (That blue Dyna Lettering tool is actually a bit too tall for the box, yet it still closes OK. I’m probably straining the hinge by doing that, but time will tell; until then it’s stored and easily findable.) The boxes are a bit flimsy and lightweight; I would not take them to a job site (I have heavier boxes for that.) But for my workshop they are perfect, and affordable. I’m planning on doubling the number of these that I have.

This is a good organizer for home crafts and light weight things. The cover if flimsy, so be careful if you leave the organizer open. Don't even think of using this for commercial purposes, like filling it up with parts and tossing it in the back of the truck. I have a feeling the latches will pop open and you'll have a mess. For my purposes, I think this will be good. It was pretty cheap, and that's what I was looking for. If it lasts me four years, I'll be happy. I've only had it a week though.

This organizer is good for keeping small parts together. I use it for electronics items. The largest compartments are too small for items such as a large spool of solder, but overall it is a good mix of compartment sizes. The small items stay in their compartments when the lid is closed and secure. I suspect that this item would not hold up to abuse (e.g., latches), but should be fine if handled carefully.

The case is flimsy. Too much flex, and the latches are hooked on a soft plastic rod that falls out. Would not recommend for heavy items, may be good for small plastic or similarly light parts.

I’m using this organizer for portable bead storage. I prefer not to use all the dividers, just a few as I’m storing large beads. It keeps my beads together well. I would not want to use this for small beads storage. They can slip into other compartments they don’t belong in. All in all the storage I’m using it for works wonderfully.

I bought 5 of these and do not regret it one bit. Im an electronics engineering technician and have everything from passive components, radio components, MCUs, and just about every sensor. The build quality is fine. The black plastic section is reasonably robust. The clear portion has no chance at a fall with anything in it to weigh it down. Lastly, the orange hinges to lock the case feel insufficient. Especially if there is any upward pressure. Like a piece of foam preventing 100% closure of the case. Normally, a little piece of foam like that is no big deal. But this case flexed and the buckles were rigid like they were holding back an avalanche. Thats just one man’s thoughts. This system works so well with organization. My only complaint. There is no shelf to buy. The nice thing about the case is that they are easily stackable. Why not have a simple shelf to separate them? Im going to try and 3d print a solution but I would rather purchase a final product than have to iterate in CAD. In any case, particularly if you are 3D printing inclined then you should appreciate the modular approach to the design. It would be quite simple to change the shapes in about an hour. For everyone else still reading, there are companies charging nearly double for what this is.
