I’ve had different versions of this in my cart on and off for YEARS. I’m 10 months postpartum and went THROUGH it with the hair loss. It was bad. Bald spots. A crown of poking out baby hairs. The whole bit. My husband bought me this when I was about to pixie my hair to deal with the regrowth phase. If I had known how amazing this product was I would have sold a kidney or a portion of my liver on the black market to get it. Life. Changing. I’m the type of person who can only style their hair one way - and it’s with a straightener. I need VOLUME right now. I paced the house today, looking out the windows, waiting for this to be delivered. I checked the tracking 64829 times. It came while the child napped. Tried it out the first time. LOVED it. My hair was mostly dry because I was waiting on it to arrive. Still came out pretty good! Used the larger barrel. Should have put hair spray in. (Pic 1) After the child went to bed, rewet my hair and tried again with the smaller barrel. Used hairspray. Voila! I felt like a movie star. As if my hair loss journey never happened. (Pic 2 - right after, pic 3 - 2.5 hours after) It was instant love. Again, I repeat, I cannnnnot do my hair. I watched probably 3 or 4 tutorials on YouTube while waiting for this to arrive. Did my hair come out perfect the first two times (attached pictures)? No. But is it PRETTY DANG GOOD for a first timer with zero hair styling skills?! Well, you can be the judge, but I think so! It is SO easy to use. It gets pretttty hot. I’m going to have to play around with the app and figure it all out because I don’t want to fry my hair. Wish this set came with the anti frizz attachment. It’s expensive as heck - even with that - my only regret is not getting it sooner!

I've had the opportunity to review quite a few products, but receiving the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x was definitely one of the highlights. Dyson has built a reputation for innovative engineering and premium products, and this is exactly the kind of item that makes that reputation interesting. It's not simply a hair dryer with a few attachments thrown into the box. It's an entire styling system designed around a very different approach to drying and styling hair. The biggest selling point is Dyson's use of airflow to help style hair rather than relying exclusively on extremely hot surfaces. The Coanda effect allows air to attract and wrap hair around the curling barrels, which is a pretty fascinating concept. The Co-anda2x takes that technology further with increased airflow and a motor designed to deliver substantially more power than previous Airwrap generations. What I particularly appreciate about this system is its versatility. Instead of having separate appliances for drying, curling, smoothing, and adding volume, the Airwrap combines those functions into one device with interchangeable attachments. That's especially appealing if you have limited bathroom counter space or don't want to keep several different styling tools plugged in. The attachment system is also a big part of the appeal. Different attachments serve different purposes, allowing you to change your styling approach depending on the look you're trying to achieve. It's a much more flexible concept than a conventional curling iron or hair dryer, where you're generally limited to one primary function. Another important distinction is Dyson's emphasis on controlling heat. Traditional styling tools can expose hair to very high temperatures, particularly when using flat irons or curling irons. The Airwrap is designed to use powerful airflow and controlled heat to achieve styling results. This is an exceptionally expensive hair styling tool, and it's difficult to argue that everyone needs something this elaborate. There are plenty of conventional dryers and styling tools that cost a fraction of the price. What you're paying for here is the combination of technology, versatility, engineering, and the convenience of having multiple styling functions in one premium system. The Co-anda2x is particularly interesting because it isn't simply another color variation of an existing product. Dyson has made meaningful changes to the motor and airflow capabilities, making this a more substantial evolution of the Airwrap concept. Ultimately, this is the kind of product that appeals to someone who styles their hair regularly and appreciates having multiple options available without maintaining an entire collection of separate tools. The technology is genuinely interesting, the versatility is impressive, and the overall concept is much more sophisticated than a typical hair dryer. It's undeniably a luxury purchase, but it's also an impressive example of Dyson applying its engineering expertise to an everyday task. I'm very happy to have this one.

Fraudulently marked new packages from Dyson

Dyson appears to be sending Amazon fraudulently marked new inventory that is actually used, not even refurbished. Multiple Amazon customers and I have received completely sealed, “new” appearing packages that when opened are covered in hair, scuffed, and dirty. Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. This is clearly NOT an Amazon issue and looks like extremely deceptive behavior from Dyson.

**An Expensive Hair Styling System, but My Wife Absolutely Loves It** I've always been somewhat skeptical of extremely expensive personal care appliances, particularly when there are so many less expensive alternatives available. This multi-styler certainly falls into the premium category, and its price initially made me question whether it could possibly be worth the investment. However, my wife absolutely loves it, and her enthusiasm has made me appreciate the appeal of a high-end styling system like this. One of the biggest attractions is the versatility. Rather than needing several separate tools for drying, curling, smoothing, and adding volume, this system combines multiple styling functions into one appliance. That convenience is particularly appealing for someone who regularly styles their hair and wants flexibility without constantly switching between completely different devices. The Coanda airflow technology is another interesting feature. Instead of relying exclusively on direct contact with extremely hot styling surfaces, the system uses carefully directed airflow to help shape and style hair. It's a sophisticated approach that distinguishes this product from conventional curling irons and hair dryers. This upgraded Co-anda2x version is designed to deliver more powerful airflow, potentially improving both drying efficiency and styling performance. The Complete Long configuration is also intended to accommodate longer hair, which is important because shorter styling barrels can be cumbersome when working with longer sections. While I personally find the price rather steep, my wife absolutely loves it. Her satisfaction makes it much easier to appreciate why someone would be willing to spend this much on a hair styling appliance.

The perfect tool for low maintenance beauty

At my house I have two daughters with long hair, and my hair is bra strap length. We already had a Shark Airstyler as well as a T3, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try out a Dyson Airwrap to give each of us our own styler, and also to be able to compare the three. Straight to the point, this is my favorite, hands down. It’s also well over twice the retail price of each of the other stylers, which are both excellent products. The one negative about the Dyson is that it has a huge, heavy box…I think a transformer…about 12” from the plug, so depending on where you dry your hair it can be very bulky and awkward. I also love that this came with a case, although the size and rigidity of the case makes it impractical to travel with. I’m a fairly low maintenance person who still likes to look put together and neat. The older I get, though, the more any time I spend on my appearance pays off. All of the air stylers allow me to give my fine, straight, slightly thin hair a little body or extra smoothness and neat ends while drying it quickly. This hairdryer dries my hair faster than the Shark and the T3, and it’s the only one we have with an air straightener. I can go from towel dried hair to dry, straightened hair inside of six minutes. The length of the unit with the straightener is a little awkward, so if you want this primarily for the air straightener, I’ll say that I’d prefer a smaller, dedicated air straightener if I didn’t care about curling my hair. In ten minutes, or a little more depending on how ambitious I’m feeling, I can use the curling attachment to get some incredibly beautiful, bouncy curls. I’m still working on technique a little but find that the Dyson grabs the biggest sections of hair of all of the stylers, with the T3 beating the Shark in that department. With the Dyson I don’t even need to section my hair out, I’m pretty much able to put the curler along the section I want and work it for a second to grab and roll the right section. After I’ve curled all of the sections I go back and curl only the ends. I initially didn’t think the app was a feature I needed or cared about l but I went ahead and tried it out only for the sake of being familiar enough with the app features to give a true review. However, I don’t see myself styling my hair without using the app control now, The app setup initially walked me through questions regarding my hair type, and the app later used my responses for the initial settings. For example it automatically gave me X number of seconds to wrap my hair, then adjusted the heat timing and temperature, then automatically switched to cool shot for a specific length of time. The app gave me the option to adjust these settings, but so far I don’t think I need to. The curls last longer than typical for my hair, and I absolutely love that I don’t have to fumble with setting or to find the cool shot button. Absolutely perfect for a low maintenance person like me! I have yet to use the styling brushes but will revise my review once I do. If the price of this is manageable, this is by far the superior product of the ones I’ve used.

I have given this Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x™ Multi-Styler and Dryer a good long test run, tried out all the different attachments, styled my hair so many different ways, and just have to say ... WOW. This thing is SO worth the investment. My hair has never looked better. I look like I just walked out of a salon everyday. I'm truly amazed at how this tool is leaps and bounds beyond other styling tools I have tried. I have wavy/curly 2C long hair, that is fine, but thick. It tends to frizz in humidity or if I don't actually straighten it using hot tools. I often let it air dry to get waves, but I like to wear it straight more often, and this tool lets me create perfect frizz-free styles and add curls and waves nearly effortlessly. It's lightweight, which is perfect for me since I have arthritis in my dominant hand. I can easily control this with no issues, and my arm doesn't get tired from holding it up. Having tried all the attachments, I've learned that the best way to style my hair is to start with the flat brush attachment, get my hair to 80% dry, then go in with either the round brush if I want a straight style or one or both of the curl attachments to dry it the rest of the way. Perfect results every time, and it's so fast. This thing dries my hair so much faster so more smoothly than any hair dryer I've ever used before. When I'm lazy, I use the regular blow-dry attachment and follow with a quick pass with the flat-iron tool for smoothing. That tool does a pretty good job of straightening, but it's not that mirror-flat effect I get with my regular flat iron. It's fast, though. Another really cool thing about this tool is that there's an app that goes with it. I already had the Dyson app on my phone because I own some of their other products, so I paired this styler to the app easily. I was able to input details about my hair type, including how well it tends to hold curl, and now when I want to curl my hair, I just open the app and the styler uses warm up, heat and cool down timers on each curl tailored to my hair type. Mind blowing! There are also video tutorials in the app to teach me the entire process for creating different styles using the included attachments. The whole kit comes with a great storage box that has a lid where I can set down hot tools and prop up my phone while using the app. I love this thing. I never want to be without it. Expensive, but absolutely worth the investment if you are a person who is into styling your hair and looking your best. If you are considering this, trust me, you will not be disappointed.
