Description

Dyson Airstrait hair straightener and Dyson Omega hydrating oil are the ultimate smoothing duo for sleek, shiny hair. A concentrated, yet lightweight hair oil that nourishes, smooths frizz, and provides heat protection up to 450°F. Straighten and dry hair – at the same time. Three pre-set temperatures -- 175°F, 230°F, and 285°F – take your hair from wet to finished style, with one machine. Touch-up or refresh your style from dry. Style at 250°F or 285°F or use the optional Boost mode for maximum styling impact. Pin and roll for lift and volume with a ‘90s-inspired ‘Rachel’ look. A polished, everyday look, straightened from wet. Smooth and stretch hair to create a naturally straight blow out. Dyson Airstrait uses high-pressure airflow to straighten hair as it dries. Air is precisely heated and projected evenly through the tress as you style – with no need for extreme heat.¹ Airflow is projected downwards at a 45° angle to create the tension needed to align hair for a smooth end style – with less damage and breakage.² Glass bead thermistors, located in the machine arms, regulate airflow temperature up to 30 times per second, to prevent heat damage and protect hair’s natural shine. A 13-blade impeller spins up to 106,000rpm, propelling 11.9 liters of air through the machine per second. This generates 3.6kPa of air pressure, powerful enough to straighten hair as it dries. High-definition color display shows airflow and temperature settings for easy reference when styling. Slide the button to lock and unlock the arms of your machine. Use with the arms locked to gently pre-dry hair and create volume from the roots. After three seconds of inactivity, your machine will automatically pause. Simply move the machine to restart the airflow. Your machine senses when hair is between the arms and automatically drops to low airflow when it's not – for quieter, more efficient styling.

  • Wet to Wow: The Ultimate Time-Saving Hair Engineering Triumph Wet to Wow: The Ultimate Time-Saving Hair Engineering Triumph
Color: Amazon Exclusive Airstrait + Omega Bundle
I recently picked up the Dyson Airstrait™ Straightener and Omega™ Hair Oil Amazon Exclusive as a gift for my girlfriend, and it has fundamentally changed her morning routine. As someone who appreciates top-tier engineering, I was immediately intrigued by the promise of drying and straightening hair simultaneously. The unboxing experience itself feels exceptionally premium, presenting the sleek straightener, a highly practical non-slip heat mat, and the beautifully packaged hydrating hair oil. It is rare to find a beauty tool that actually delivers on its lofty promises, but this bundle provides a comprehensive, sophisticated styling solution right out of the box, completely eliminating the need to juggle a separate hair dryer and a traditional flat iron. The actual performance of the Airstrait is nothing short of phenomenal. It seamlessly takes hair straight from wet to a finished style without relying on extreme, damaging hot plates. The interface is brilliantly intuitive, featuring a straightforward power button, mode selector, and a dedicated cool shot function to instantly lock in the style. You get three precise, pre-set temperature controls at 175°F, 230°F, and 285°F, alongside adjustable airflow settings so you can tailor the power exactly to your needs. By combining the drying and styling steps into one fluid motion, it effectively shaves about eight minutes off her usual styling time. That kind of efficiency is an absolute game-changer on busy mornings, and the machine handles it all effortlessly. What truly elevates this specific exclusive bundle is the addition of the Dyson Omega™ Hydrating Hair Oil. Instead of relying on heavy silicones to create a false sense of smoothness, this formula utilizes the proprietary Dyson Oli7™ blend, which features seven omega-rich oils to actually nourish the hair from the inside out. The bottle includes a very clever metered dropper for controlled application, ensuring you only dispense the recommended one to two drops needed to perfectly smooth through the lengths. The fragrance profile is incredibly refreshing and luxurious, balancing bright citrus, green tea, and bergamot with softer, elegant notes of jasmine and rose. It feels like a high-end salon treatment perfectly engineered to complement the hardware. The final results speak entirely for themselves, delivering significantly stronger, healthier-looking hair with an incredible finish. By applying the oil and styling with the Airstrait, my girlfriend has experienced a massive boost in overall radiance, boasting what looks and feels like 261% more shine. Furthermore, the oil provides a crucial protective barrier against the mechanical damage caused by daily brushing, noticeably reducing breakage over time. The combination creates a polished, naturally straight blowout look that flows beautifully rather than looking pin-straight and stiff. If you want to invest in a premium, time-saving hair care system that genuinely prioritizes hair health, this duo is an absolute triumph. ... show more

  • Much better than alternative hair straighteners
Color: Amazon Exclusive Airstrait + Omega Bundle
The core technology is what makes this tool so different from everything else on the market. Instead of pressing your hair between two heated metal plates the way a conventional straightener does, the Airstrait uses high-pressure, precisely heated air projected downward at a 45-degree angle through two channels that your hair passes between. That downward airflow creates the tension needed to smooth and align the hair fiber as it dries, delivering a straight, sleek finish without the extreme heat contact that causes breakage, frizz, and long-term damage. Dyson’s intelligent heat control monitors and regulates the airflow temperature up to 30 times per second, which means the hair is never exposed to more heat than it actually needs at any given moment. The wet-to-dry function is the headline feature, and it genuinely works. Starting with towel-dried, damp hair, you section it and glide the Airstrait through each section from root to tip, and the device dries and smooths the hair in one continuous pass. Most users with medium-length or fine hair report going from fully damp to completely styled in as little as seven to ten minutes, which is comparable to or faster than a traditional routine of blow-drying followed by flat ironing. Dyson claims it reduces time spent drying and styling by 25 percent, and real-world user experiences broadly support that. The finish is one of the most talked-about qualities. Because there are no hot plates compressing the hair flat, the result is smooth and straight but still has natural body, softness, and a healthy shine. It doesn’t produce that flat, compressed look that aggressive flat irons sometimes leave behind. Instead, hair looks polished and natural, as if it dried beautifully on its own rather than being forced straight by heat. Users consistently describe it as feeling silky, light, and more voluminous than after traditional straightening. The tool comes with two modes: wet mode for damp hair and dry mode for touch-ups on already-styled hair in the days after the initial wet styling. The dry mode means you don’t have to re-wet your hair every time you want to refresh your look, which extends the wear of your style and reduces overall heat exposure over time. There are also three heat settings and three speed settings that let you tailor the experience to your specific hair type, whether fine and delicate or thick and coarse. For people with curly, frizzy, or coily hair who have historically relied on high-heat flat irons to straighten, the Airstrait is a particularly meaningful option. Because it uses airflow rather than contact heat, it preserves more of the hair’s natural strength and moisture during the straightening process, which means less brittleness, fewer split ends, and healthier-looking hair over time with regular use. There are a few honest considerations. The Airstrait is not a solution for everyone who wants extremely pin-straight, ultra-sleek results; it delivers a naturally straight, smooth finish rather than the razor-flat look that very high-heat plates produce. For those who specifically want that completely flat, glassy texture, a Dyson Corrale or a traditional flat iron at high heat may still feel more satisfying. The tool also requires a bit of practice during the first few uses, particularly to get the right technique for sectioning and gliding speed, but the learning curve is short. And at its premium price point, it represents a significant investment, though one that many users feel is justified by the health benefits and the time saving it delivers. Overall, the Dyson Airstrait™ Straightener is a beautifully engineered, genuinely hair-kind tool that simplifies the morning routine without sacrificing the result. If you straighten your hair regularly and want to protect it from long-term heat damage while still achieving a sleek, polished finish in less time, the Airstrait is one of the most compelling and intelligent styling tools available today. ... show more

  • undecided!
Color: Amazon Exclusive Airstrait + Omega Bundle
I used to straighten my hair daily when I was in college and then during the pandemic I started wearing my hair curly. Every once in a while though, I enjoy a blowout at the salon and straightening was always the easiest way for me to get similar results at home without being a complete pain in my arms. Then I got the Dyson Airwrap Coanda2x (not this product, but hang in there with me) with a brush attachment and I could essentially achieve a blowout in only 10 minutes. Then I saw the Airstrait and thought to myself, this product is MADE for going wet to straight, maybe it'll be even better than the Airwrap! Gotta say, I don't think it's for me. Still a solid product, just not for me. Pros: - Metal plates aren't hot themselves and so won't burn your scalp, ears, etc. - The idle feature slows down air flow so you can position your next section of hair without losing heat time. I thought this was a super smart feature. - Unlike with my Airwrap, the Airstrait buttons are nicely tucked away and I never once accidentally turned off the styler when in use. I accidentally hit the button to turn off my Airwrap ALL THE TIME and it is so irritating. - I didn't get any "clean filter" warnings while using for as long as I did. Negatives: - It took me the same old 30ish minutes to go from wet to straight and involved all the arm muscles I had gotten used to no longer needing. Major downside for me. - Because the airflow only comes out of the "bottom" of the plates, there's like an entire 2-3 inch section of hair from the roots onward that isn't getting really hit with the same straightening technique as the rest of your hair. You have to blow dry (don't need a separate dryer, just hold the plates shut and use the Airstrait) that first 3 inches of hair completely dry, then you can clamp the plates down on it and do the rest of that hair. For me, with wavy, thin-ish hair, this meant my leave-in conditioner didn't sufficiently burn off in the straightening process as I am used to it doing, and made my roots feel really greasy and different from the rest of my hair. - The cord, like all Dyson hair products, is bulky AF. Overall, I think it's got some positives over a typical straightener, and definitely felt way less hazardous than a typical "wet2straight" styler like I have used in the past that was just steam burns everywhere. But I just think for me, a low maintenance working mom, I just need FAST and the Airwrap Coanda2x does more for me in the straightening department than the Airstrait. ... show more

  • Super easy to use, and AMAZING results! Super easy to use, and AMAZING results!
Color: Amazon Exclusive Airstrait + Omega Bundle
I have naturally wavy hair that is frizzy and a little thick. It is quite unruly if I don't do some type of styling to it and if I'm lazy, I will just tie it into a bun. When I'm not feeling lazy, I will first blow dry my hair, then straighten it using a straightening iron or I will curl my hair using a styling tool. So this whole process would take quite a while and at one point, I had noticed that my hair was burnt at the tips from using my straightener. I was super excited for this Dyson Airstrait because it would be less damaging, and would cut styling time a lot since it's basically doing two things at once. I started with wet hair and dried my roots a little using the airstrait in the closed position. Then I sectioned my hair to start drying/straightening. I was shocked at how quickly it dried, and my hair was SO straight! I used it on high speed, wet mode and 230 degrees. Oh, and it is surprisingly quiet! I have another hair device from a different popular company and that one is significantly louder than this airstrait. I finished styling my hair in only about 20 minutes and the results were incredible. My hair was sleek, smooth, soft, no frizz at all, very straight. My hair definitely felt less damaged than if I were to use my straightener. I applied a few drops of the omega hair oil after styling and my hair felt so soft, smooth and healthy. This is really good quality hair oil! I purposely avoided washing my hair to see how long the results would last and my hair is still sleek, straight and smooth after almost 2 full days! The only issue that I had was that the device itself was a bit bulky and heavy for me. But I have fairly small hands and weak arm/hand strength. I wish the handle was less smooth and had some grooves to make it easier to grip. My hands felt slightly fatigued after a few minutes so I had to take breaks. It's definitely not a big enough issue that I will stop using it. Overall, I am super happy with this airstrait and will continue to use it after almost every shower. Yes, it is a bit pricey but the quality is incredible, and this is basically two high-end devices in one. I would say it is a splurge but definitely worth the price for less damaged hair and quicker styling time. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my long review! ... show more

  • A Much Gentler Way to Straighten Hair
Color: Amazon Exclusive Airstrait + Omega Bundle
I’ve been trying to move away from traditional heat styling where I can, mainly because while flat irons absolutely work, repeated high heat can leave my hair feeling dry, rough, and generally abused over time. The Dyson Airstrait simplifies the whole routine by drying and straightening at the same time instead of making me blow dry first and then go back in with a straightener afterward. It uses heated air to straighten the hair as it dries, rather than clamping it between hot plates, and that makes the whole process feel a lot less harsh. My hair still ends up looking smooth and more polished, but it doesn’t have that dry, fried feeling I sometimes get after using a traditional flat iron. I love how much time it saves. Being able to go from damp hair to a finished look with one tool makes getting ready feel a lot less annoying, especially on days where I don’t want to deal with multiple steps. The airflow feels powerful and controlled, and the way it automatically adjusts when hair is between the arms makes it feel a bit more refined than just blasting hot air around randomly. The straightening performance is very good. It may not give you that ultra-pin-straight, flat-ironed look if that’s what you’re going for, but for a smooth, natural straight finish with less heat stress, it does an excellent job. I actually prefer that slightly softer look for everyday styling. Build quality is exactly what I’d expect from Dyson. It feels premium, the controls are easy to understand, and the whole thing has that polished Dyson design language. It is a little larger and heavier than a basic straightener, but that makes sense given that it’s also functioning as a dryer. Overall, this is definitely expensive, but it feels like one of those tools that makes more sense if you’re trying to simplify your routine and reduce reliance on traditional high-heat styling. If you regularly dry and straighten your hair, the Airstrait can save time while leaving hair feeling softer and less abused afterward. I also appreciate the included Omega Hair Oil, which is a great finishing step because it helps smooth things down, add some shine, and make the final result look a bit more polished without needing a separate styling product. ... show more

  • My hair looks and feels so much healthier
Color: Amazon Exclusive Airstrait + Omega Bundle
This tool went beyond what I was expecting. I have thick wavy hair that normally would take a full day to air dry. I prefer my hair straight and normally have to blow dry then use a straightener. This tool works as a two in one and blow dries while straightening. Since it doesn't have hot plates and uses air my hair doesn't fry or have that burnt smell I get from regular straighteners. It will automatically pause when not being used and will start back up when you close the arms again. It comes with a heat resistant mat that protects surfaces from the heat when putting it down while also preventing it from slipping off a table or work area. The air only flows from one side so you will need to adjust when switching sides but it's still easy to use both ways. It doesn't dull my hair like hot plates do. My hair looks amazing and feels healthy after using this tool and I'm very happy with it. The hair oil that comes with it adds to how healthy my hair looks and feels. It's easy to apply and doesn't weigh down or make my hair look greasy. It's absorbed into the strands replacing moisture and leaves behind an even greater healthy looking shine. It has a nice light scent that leaves my hair smelling nice as well. It is a bit pricey but would be a good investment to healthier hair and by a trusted brand with a great warranty policy. I'd recommend ditching regular straighteners and giving this a try instead. Like me you won't ever want to go back to using hot plates. ... show more

  • Believe the hype
Color: Amazon Exclusive Airstrait + Omega Bundle
I've been using the Dyson Airstrait for a few weeks now, and overall I'm really impressed. My hair is thick, coarse, and naturally wavy with a tendency to get frizzy, so I was skeptical that a tool could actually replace both my blow dryer and flat iron. Surprisingly, it gets pretty close. The biggest benefit for me has been the time savings. Being able to go from damp hair to straight hair with one tool makes my routine much faster, and my hair feels healthier compared to when I was using a blow dryer followed by a flat iron. The finished result is smooth, soft, and natural-looking rather than overly flat or pin-straight. It's not perfect, though. If I'm looking for a super sleek, glass-hair finish, I still find that a traditional flat iron does a slightly better job. The Airstrait gives me more of a polished blowout look, which honestly is what I prefer most days. I also found that taking smaller sections gives the best results, especially around the crown and underneath layers. One thing that surprised me was how much the included Dyson Omega Pre-Style Hair Serum improved the final result. I only use a small amount on damp hair before styling, but it noticeably helps with frizz and flyaways without weighing my hair down. My hair feels softer, looks shinier, and the style seems to hold better throughout the day. Overall, I'm really happy with the Airstrait. It's definitely an investment, but for me the combination of faster styling, less heat damage, and smoother results has made it worth it. ... show more

Color: Amazon Exclusive Airstrait + Omega Bundle
I'm in my early 30s and have still been using my hair straightener from high school, so I've been wanting an upgrade and was super excited to give the airstrait a try. And it doesn't disappoint! It looks just like the product photos and is really high quality and well made. The design quality is stunning and definitely on par with the high price point. It has a smooth matte feel and the digital display looks so professional and fancy. And it's on the large side, so it can cover a decent sized area of hair at a time. The controls are easy to operate and there are convenient tutorials and introductions in the app. I was really impressed with how gentle it is and how effectively it transitions my hair from wet to dry AND straight. The air only blows at full force when its clamping, so it's smart energy wise and safe with an automatic pause that occurs when it's not actively being engaged. I had a little bit of trouble achieving curled edges, but I'm still learning, and it was really effective at creating a pin straight look. I love the cooling feature too that helps set it in. And the oil left my hair super shiny and healthy looking and smells really bright, pretty, and refreshing. It is a bit heavy though, so I found my arm getting tired about half way through. And the temperature is controlled in ranges, so you can't set a specific degree level (as far as I can tell). Overall, I'm obsessed! It's works beautifully and is really innovative and unique, so I'd say it's an appropriate value. Highly recommend! ... show more
