Tattoo artist of 15 years. I’ve gone through the most recognized brands of stencil cream (stencil stuff, anchored, electrum) and this Proton stencil gel taught me you don’t really know what’s better until you try better stuff. Certain problems I found with other CREAMS is that you wanted to apply a good amount so it would really grab all the details from the stencil, but I would have to wait for a while so they would dry out for a bit, so they wouldn’t smear the stencil in some areas, and even so sometimes the stencil would slightly spread in some areas. You have to learn to work with them. Now I’ll talk about the benefits of Proton. This stuff is GEL, and a thick gel at that. Coming out of the bottle it has a feel of a thick gel with a dry texture. It feels dry as you’re applying it to the skin cause it’s so thick. That’s a good thing though! Once you spread it, it feels like it’s drying right away on the skin, but has this unique consistency to it that only feels that way. This stuff grips the stencil paper in a way that it applies the purple carbon extremely well to the skin, and doesn’t get the paper too wet unless you apply A LOT of it and don’t let it dry a bit, which at that point you’re just using too much of it. It leaves the stencil marked exceedingly well, and stays on so proficiently that it’s pretty hard to take it off if you need to readjust where the stencil is placed. Once you let the stencil dry for a while, I guarantee it will be the most prominent stencils you have worked with. I think I found my go to for the rest of my tattooing career. Try this stuff if you’re a professional artist, guarantee you will like it better than anything out there. ... show more

This stuff is great. The stencil stays on, and is not going anywhere. It’s tackier than stencil stuff, so be aware of that. As the bottle gets lower, it can take some elbow grease to get it out of the bottle, since it’s on the thicker side. But it’s well worth it. I will use this stuff going forward. Proton stencil primer is by far the best applicator I've used in 12yrs of tattooing. This is a thicker gel than stencil stuff, making it tacky faster and remains tacky to reapply the stencil of needed. Once it dries after 15min, your stencil isn't going anywhere. I've gone 3hrs doing very intricate large designs, and my stencil was still visible. Trust me, if you've ever lost your stencil mid tattoo, buy this and never worry about that again. The media could not be loaded. I’ve never heard of this product before until I ran out of my usual primer (Niko Hurtado stencil solution) & because I needed something fast I went with this product. But I’m SO glad I tried it out. I love that it gets super tacky really fast!! I spent 13 hours on this inner sleeve and it didn’t come off early at all for me (I work in small sections at a time) definitely will be my forever stencil gel 🖤 ... show more
