I purchased this for a craft room as it was exactly the size I needed. The mixed reviews made me a bit wary, but everything about it was just too much of what I needed so I took a chance. It said 10 days delivery, which I was fine with, but showed up in 2 days. Single box, so no waiting for a second. Astoundingly well packed, not a single broken or even chipped piece in sight. Yes, there were a lot of pieces. 48 different ones, not counting hardware and some of the 48 had multiple, but all the pieces were of a decent size and weight that I had no issue laying them out and managing them by myself. Instructions had no written language. It is all part numbers and pictures, but if you take your time and follow the pictures, this will go together with no issues. My only complaint for the instructions is there is no indicator of which side is the finished vs unfinished edge which contributed to the 2 errors I made in putting it together, but had I watched the instructions closer, both errors would have been avoided. Assembly requires very simple tools. Allen wrench (included, but I prefer to use my own). Phillips head screwdriver (not included, but I had my own and I added a drill to the mix to help me move a smidge faster). I did end up needing a small drill bit as the 2 drawers did not have pilot holes drilled on the bottom for the rails. This would probably be my only true complaint on the entire piece as this could be a problem for anyone without the tools. Instructions recommend 2 people, but I did this entirely by myself as a 5' tall woman. The only step where a second person would have been a huge help was in putting the 2 sections (top/bottom) together. You assemble both sections to about 75% complete them have to set the hutch onto the base. This was difficult alone, but not impossible for me. Assembly did take me the better part of 7 hours, but I spent a lot of time laying out all the pieces to make sure none were damaging or missing before getting started. I also did this 100% alone which made it take longer and finally there was not enough space in the room it was going into to assemble it there, so pieces had to be moved after being put together which also took time. I highly recommend asking someone for help if you get this. With help, I'd think 4 hours or less is doable. Final thoughts: This is a great addition to my craft room. This piece is astonishingly well made for not being real wood. After fully assembling, it is sturdy and only 1 door is going to need an adjustment to close right. The adjustable shelves are a huge bonus which make this piece even more versatile and the built in USB/power strip is a huge plus. The look of it was not hugely important to me, that said, I love not having to get anything in white because craft room. I will say this piece looks very good in the room. It has lots of storage (which I need) and also a functional flat surface. So this thing is the full package. Be it for your kitchen, craft room or wherever, I highly recommend it.

So I am not going to lie....When I opened the box (that was 135lbs) and took out ALL of the pieces...I was overwhelmed to say the least. The instructions came with 77 steps! It does say that 2 people are required to put it together, but I only needed an extra hand with a small part and my 12 year old helped. You start by building the top half, then build the bottom, then you need the extra hand to put the top on and line up the pegs. If you are strong enough, you could do it alone, but you will risk misaligning and damaging the cabinet. Once assembled, it is gorgeous! It is suprisingly sturdy and even comes with little wedges to attach on the back to hold the backing in place. The trash can tilt out has metal pegs that keep the door from just falling down and the swing out door has a wheel under it to be able to support more weight. The size in the description is accurate. I was going to use it for the microwave, but the counter portion is only a little over 13 inches deep with the backing attached, so that isnt shown in the measurements on the picture. My microwave is 14 inches so it wont work for that. It does work great for a coffee bar though! The glass door area is perfect for mugs. The drawers work great for coffee supplies and trash bags. I wanted to use the swing door to hold my families vitamins and such, as I already have a spice rack...but the bottles dont fit well. I am still not sure what to use that part for, but I will figure something out. The bars that hold the spices are really sturdy too. The bottom storage area isn't too big. It fits my large chopper on one shelf and my stand mixer on the other, but thats it. It is still a beautiful and sturdy piece of furniture!

This is really sturdy! I like the look and almost worth the effort to put it together. It took me 5 hours to put it together and although the directions for the most part are clear (I missed putting in the rack poles after I had everything cinched up, and put a bottom shelf somehow facing with the rough edge (which I used furniture markers on and it blended beautifully), aside from my build challenges, I really think this is a great quality for the value. But you’d have to pay me loads of money to put one of these together again. I do love it! Great for small spaces!

Ladies! We can make this on our own!! It took me about 5 hours to assemble solo. I started with setting out all the pieces (numbered 1-47, I believe) and then arranging all the bags of hardware (lettered A-Z). It was very tedious work. If you have a power drill, I suggest using that. The only thing I didn't use my power drill for was the Allen head screws, which are few are far in-between. There are 77 steps, which seems daunting, but a few steps were literally putting in wooden knobs or placing wood-looking stickers over the screw heads. I am 5'7" and I assembled this item completely on my own. The only thing you may need help with is placing the upper portion (which you assemble first) on top of the lower portion. The directions do state that its a dual lift, however I was able to lift and place on my own. That being said, it would have been easier with another person. This holds SO MUCH! In the two drawers ive.got my teas, cocoas, disposible cups/lids, and reusable pods. The cabinets can hold even more, and my bar is not even close to being full. It looks beautiful and matches my kitchen cabinets near-seamlessly; I've received so many compliments on it, and honestly I love looking at it (maybe because I did it myself, haha!). It is very sturdy; while building it, you can see the quality of the wood, while not the best, is stronger than what I thought. The back slats are just flimsy pieces of plywood, but that's okay, it's just for looks and isn't holding any weight on them. Over all, absolutely worth the price. I was originally looking for a hideaway trash can cabinet and ended up purchasing this. I am very happy I did.
