When I got these I was actually very pleasantly surprised how nice these are! They are soft, perfect thickness, they block probably about 80-90% of sunlight. You definitely can’t see through them so great privacy. They are a really good price, especially for the quality. I would assume they would help with an insulating effect due to the quality and thickness. I’m so happy with my purchase that I ordered another pair for myself to replace the curtains in our room. These here are a very pretty pale pink for my daughter’s room. She loves them as well and they are also very much kitty approved! 😄 I tried to get a photo that really showed the color but it was kind of hard so I did my best. I hope this helps someone. I bought these for my MIL and she loves them. They really do block a lot of light even in the lighter color without the stiff backing that many black out curtains have. They hang softly and beautifully. I would highly recommend these curtains.

These are ok. They are thinner than I expected, so the don’t keep out the cold as well as I had hoped. They are also not blackout. They keep some darkness out, but not nearly enough to be called blackout. They look nice, wash up easily, and are the color I expected.
