AFTER HURRICANE MILTON: This is a GREAT machine !! I hooked up a 30A connection to my main load center and made an easy ground connection. Connected to a standard 40# propane tank. This generator powered my fridge and many low powered items for 20 hours consuming 80% of the tank, WAAAYYYY over the expected consumption rate in the manual. ABSOLUTELY strong, relatively quiet, compact and not too heavy. STRONGLY RECOMMEND !!!!!!!!!!! INITIAL REVIEW: Bought due to dual fuel, small size, and price. Came in undamaged box ~ 12 days. Came with 30A adapter from generator to 3 prong like a stove. Also spark plug wrench, +/- screwdriver, 17/19 mm open wrench, great oil filling funnel, parallel connector wire. Did not come with oil. Previous negative comments regarding the access to the oil filler cover. Inside picture attached. Note the two tabs on the left side of the pic, or right side when installed. Found it easy to remove by getting a putty knife in the gap on the left side middle, using it to create space,, then using a flat tip to pry gently each location of the 6 metal tabs seen. Came off relatively easy, no real prying leverage needed. Using only propane. Took like 10 pulls to get it caught....I used the choke and it caught easy. Will follow up after use but looking good !! ... show more

Extremely powerful, yet extremely quiet. Bought this to replace a Northstar 13,000-watt generator that was giving a few issues under heavy load (I suspect a failing breaker, easy fix), but also was extremely loud and fuel-hungry. This one is shockingly quiet, and even under heavy load it's probably half as loud as the old one. So far it also seems to be much more efficient since the inverter allows it to idle down and save fuel. Definitely need to turn off the idle down feature when running a welder off of it, otherwise the initial spark will surge a bit until the RPM's increase. but otherwise, I see no reason to ever turn it off. Did NOT come with oil, which was surprising but not unwelcome. I likely wouldn't have used it anyways as I only run Rotella T6 in all OPE. ... show more

  • Seller will not stand behind their product. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!
Style: 16,000-Watt Dual Fuel
I purchased the generator for my house in the event of a loss of power. It arrived well packaged and with instructions for a break in period. I followed all the instructions to a tee. The unit started fairly easy but was obviously struggling to maintain an RPM to generate power. Upon looking at the oil an excessive amount of metal was found in the oil. A claim was filed with them for a refund which they denied. Thet said SOME metal was to be found in the oil at break in. I have over 40 years experience with internal combustion engines, rebuilding, building new and repairing. I understand a small amount or material is to be found in the oil at break-in. The unit had been run at the factory so the metal left from manufacturing should have been cycled through the filter and caught by the filter then. something is self-destructing internally in this engine. They will not stand behind the product. Amazon will not stand behind their so-called A to Z guarantee. I have exhausted my claim and appeal opportunities for this and am now just stuck with it. Could I repair it myself sure. but after spending over 5000 dollars of hard-earned money why should I have to do that for a brand-new piece of equipment. All I can say is buyer beware! move to some other vendor for a better generator. I feel the price that is involved here is preventing a satisfactory outcome. I hope it is not the keep denying until they just get tired of trying scenario. If something changes in this process, I will update this review to reflect the results. Update: Amazon will not stand behind their warranty. I have provided pictures and professional opinions to no avail. The third party reseller will not respond. This item because it is an expensive unit has caused them to look for any loop hole to deny a refund. This is a shameful example of blatant disregard for the customer. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE THIS OR ANY OTHER UNIT FORM THIS RESELLER IR FROM AMAZON THE WILL NOT WARRANTY THE PRODUCT. Your 1 or 2 dollar items will assumably be handled with out issue but more oricy items are met with stiff unyielding defiant disregard for the customer. I. Now have a 5000 dollar boat anchor ... show more

  • Great little Generator
Style: 2,300-Watt Dual Fuel
I've had this generator for several years now, its worked well for camping and our hunting shack. I've even used it to power the furnace and some outlets during a prolonged power outage. For its size it did a fantistic job! I'd highly recommond.

Well packaged, good instructions, oil fill location obviously not well planned. You will have oil all over your garage floor even with their funnel. Started right up on gas, I’m running it now. Four hours in on 8 hours of break in. The delivery driver left it at my front door. Good thing I was home as it’s likely 250 pounds. My 82 year old wife could not have moved it and the theft of the generator would have been highly probable. You will need a hand cart! This gen set is quiet for one so large. I doubt the 61 decibels claim but it is tolerable in the daytime. Might not be acceptable at night as thieves would be prowling in a power outage. Great value for the Price. ... show more
