This review is for bicycle mechanics as I did NOT use this as a ball joint separator (but could easily do so). I work on vintage bicycles which often have exceptionally hard to remove, crank cotter pins. Thanks to a YouTube video showing the use of this exact tool to remove the pins effortlessly, spending $17 for this as opposed to $70+ on the Park Tool equivalent was a no brainer.

To think to fit between the boots and bars...cut and grinded and it worked out as should....don't purchase 🤔 unless u want to cut and grind this tool

Four stars because I had to significantly modify the u- shaped opening- widening it by 3/8" with a grinder so it would not obstruct the ball joint being removed. That said, once I did that and had it in place it was 3 seconds with an impact wrench and the spindle popped right off the ball joint- after 2 days of trying everything else. It worked when nothing else would.

Strong, well built for the torquing you put on it. My issue is the way the clamp is designed, the grooves on the clamping mechanism. Doesn’t get a good grab on the ball joint. Tore of the rubber protectant. Got the job done in the end though.
