I bought these with the hope they would be used in TV remotes and other devices and last longer. Not so. They do not even last half the life of a normal Duracell Copper Top. I don't know who is giving the rave reviews but on another review website there are numerous 1 -3 ratings all with the same issue of low life on these particular Opttimum. I replace my older Duracells with these as they die and we all have too many remotes using up batteries, constantly needing to be replaced. Every reputable place I checked had only excellent things to say about this batteries when it comes to lasting longer, specifically in Remote Controls. Amazon had the Best Price By Far on these Batteries yet, I honestly won’t know if these last longer for many months (fingers crossed) yet, I trust the places I looked at as they do in depth testing and have great reputations with all pointing to this battery as the ones to use in the 21st Century. I will update when/if they need replacing and if it was significantly longer than ordinary Duracell Batteries and if worth the small extra price (I would bet they last longer). ... show more

In my opinion, Duracell batteries are the best you can purchase, and these Optimum AAA Batteries should be no different. They come in the nicest packaging, you'd never think they were batteries, unless you read the package. Designed for remote controls, they are a great value.

Wow, they're not joking when they say these batteries are powerful. They really pack a punch for sure, if you are willing to pay for it. I gave 4 stars because I just know these will eventually leak.

I recommend anyone who uses batteries regularly to buy these. I have a nephew that plays a lot of video games. He kept having to buy batteries more often with many of the competitors batteries a lot more often than when he used these ( optimum) so with that said my beliefs are that these are the best bang for your buck! ... show more

Been watching how long these last vs Alkaline. Seem to be holding their own. What have noticed is they hold power output just about to the end... Then drop dead all at once. They do not seem to degrade slowly like other batteries.
