4 of these on here are cheaper then 2 at the store. Makes changing two cars worth of key fobs easier. Scion FRS and Toyota FJ cruiser both use 2016 batteries so getting a 4 pack was useful. Will need scissors to remove due to double sealed safety packages.

I went for some cheaper ones at first and then I realized I was having to replace my apartment complex gate remote every two weeks. so once those batteries were gone, I ordered these and so far so good.

    • Big problem with protective coating...I want to protect the kids but need batteries that work.

A lot of reviews say that the batteries arrived dead. I'm almost positive that what they experienced is the child protective coating issue. I sanded both sides and edges, rubbed for 10 minutes with alcohol, and still couldn't get them to work. I have a Pulse Load battery tester that works much better than a voltmeter and, while the voltmeter showed the correct voltage, the Pulse Load tester showed only 10%. After all of my manual cleaning, I did get one to register 40%, but I don't intend to clean them all like that. And it's too much of a hassle to send them back, so I guess I got stuck this time. There should be a disclaimer in the description that says that these may not work with key fobs, but what it does say is, "Reliable and efficient power for devices like key fobs, remote controls, thermometers, and many others." which is not true. Unless you have a real need for the child protection, stay away from these and avoid the headache. This was a 2031 batch and I've seen other reviews complaining about the 2032 batch as well. It's hard to believe that there was any quality control before these all went out. There are lots of battery companies to choose from, but I always trusted Duracell. When I tried to use the batteries they didn’t work but I found out that the bitter coating that they put on them has to be removed for the negative side to make contact. I used a piece of fine sand paper and the batteries work fine. Only 4 stars because there is no instructions on the packaging.
