So first off, as the headline states, these work very well. When I opened them I wasn't sure that would be the case as the material is rather thin. Lesser weight than a shower curtain. But after installation I looked for any light leakage from the windows in the darkened room and I couldn't see any. They are completely opaque. So it turns out that the lighter thinner material is a plus because it makes it quite easy to cut to size and cleanly install. Speaking of installation, it rather simple. You carefully measure the inside frame of your window (a tailor's or dressmaker's style measuring tape is included) and use those measurements to cut out a square from the curtain material. You then install the included, approximately 1-inch diameter, clear adhesive circles to the window frame. I used 6 of the adhesive circles for each of the windows I did-- 3 per side. The inside area of each of my window frames is 29" X 24". Six of the circles applied as described held the curtain in place securely. And I mean, Securely! That's because of the incredibly sticky circles with adhesive on both sides. Wow! They ... Are... Sticky. Even if you barely touch them they don't want to let go. Even if you just touch the tiniest sliver of an edge, they don't let go! But once they're in place it makes for an incredibly secure installation. While you are trying to apply them you'll be cursing them; when you're done with the installation you'll be so grateful that they are so effective at holding the curtain in place without having to do any drilling or installing of brackets. The adhesive method of curtain installation makes for a very tight fit against the frame too. One thing I would like to see for those adhesive circles is a little tab to help you get a start in peeling the waxed paper backing off. The circles come off the waxy paper stock they're all arranged on, but getting the little circle of paper off the other side is a bit of a struggle. A tab would help. But anyway, that's pretty much it. Make sure the surface where you'll be applying the adhesive circles is clean so things will stick good. Measure carefully and install smoothly across the window and you'll have a very clean result. By the way, the curtains I ordered came with one side being black and the other side a kind of "duct tape" silver color. You'll have to decide which color you want to be showing out your window. If you put the black side to the outside it could collect heat and maybe it would warm up the area of the room near the windows. The silver side will reflect light and heat. I installed them with the black to the outside because we're in the woods and those windows don't get much sun. It didn't feel like the area on the inside of the window was getting that warm. We'll see how it goes. I may have to change it which isn't a problem because they include plenty of spare adhesive circles. Very glad I tried these light blocking curtains. It's a very clean looking install and they're working perfectly.

This is a review for “DUOFIRE Blackout Curtains for Bedroom 79" x 57", Portable Window Blackout Blinds No Drill Room Darkening 100% Blackout Shades Temporary Blackout Window Cover for Nursery Travel RV (Black-Silver)” This is my second package of these window blackout blind fabric. I have two large windows on one side of my condo. They get full afternoon sun and I live in an area where the summer frequently brings 100+ degree days. These things work fantastically well to block heat as well as light. Although, I wouldn’t call these curtains. They do not open and close the way traditional curtains are easily opened and closed. I cut the panel to fit my windows and used the clear double sided sticky circles that come with, it to attach the fabric to the window frame. My window gets full afternoon, sun in the summertime and this window covering is extraordinarily effective at heat blocking as well as light blocking. For me, I bought it for its heat blocking benefits. It cuts easily with scissors and there are plenty of the clear sticky dots to install. The reason I would not characterize this material as blinds or curtains is because to open up the window to get light. You basically have to pull it off of the wall as opposed to blinds that you can slide to one side or use a cord to open. When you take these off the window, you have to find a place to put them where they won’t get wrinkled. If you fold it, it will wrinkle, but not as badly as a cotton sheet. Reinstalling in the windows is only a pain in the neck, if you cut the fabric to size. That means you need to make sure you rehang it nice and level, so you don’t have light gaps in the corners and along the edges.. I definitely recommend this fabric if you are looking for heat and light protection. It is very effective.

This product is not really a "blackout curtain" as stated in the description. It is good for attaching to windows to block out light where you are going to leave it in place for a while. One side is a reflective silver color and the other side is black. It is made from a thin material, but it does effectively block light. It is fairly easy to install, the hard part is just cutting it in straight lines to fit your window. For installations where you are planning to keep the blackout in place this is good, but if you plan to take it on and off frequently something with a thicker material might be better.

My apartment has 3 small windows in the living/dining rooms that face east and west which is blinding when I wake up in the mornings. The apartment didn't come with blinds or anything to cover these windows and this was the perfect solution. Non permanent, easy to put up and take down and best of all they work. When I have the other windows blinds closed I actually have to turn on the lights in my apartment during the day. Something I haven't had to do except at night. They have also helped with keeping the heat out, which is nice in Phoenix in the summer.

The media could not be loaded. I think the product is great but better priced and more for your money through Amazon with a quick search. This curtain is half the size and has very little in the way of fasteners, the velcro strips and dots, and carrying bags included in other packages for only $4.00 more. Again, the curtain itself works well but it's the bigger curtain cut in pieces to sell more of the curtains with out the extras.
