I purchased 2 of these for my 10 year old boys. Assembly was a breeze. I was disappointed that the lack of a “lip” around the frame makes it very easy for the mattress to slide around on the frame, creating the need for constant adjusting. If I had anticipated this issue, I would have purchased different frames. Edited to add: after 2 months, frames are not holding up well. one of my boys weigh 70 lbs, the other 140lbs. On both beds, the middle support is failing to the point we will need new frames. The support is a lightweight hollow metal “leg” that is not securely attached to the frame, so it cannot support any amount of weight, including normal use.
