I bought this electric fireplace specifically for my basement, and after using it for a while, I can honestly say it has made a bigger difference than I expected. My basement always felt a little cold and lacked the cozy atmosphere of the main living areas of the house. I wasn't necessarily looking for a primary heat source—I wanted something that would make the space feel warmer, more inviting, and more finished. This fireplace accomplished exactly that. What stood out to me most was how much ambiance it adds to the room. The flame effects are bright, attractive, and surprisingly realistic for an electric fireplace. I especially enjoy the ability to change the flame colors. I initially thought this would be a feature I rarely used, but I actually switch between colors quite often depending on the mood. The traditional flame setting creates a classic fireplace feel, while some of the other color options give the basement a more modern and entertaining atmosphere when friends or family are over. The heat output has also been a pleasant surprise. It doesn't instantly transform a cold basement into a tropical paradise, but it does a great job taking the edge off and making the space significantly more comfortable. For supplemental heating and everyday use, I've found it works very well. I also appreciate being able to enjoy the flame display without running the heater, which means I can use it year-round. The remote control is another feature I've come to appreciate more than I expected. Being able to adjust settings without getting up is convenient, and the controls are straightforward enough that I didn't need to constantly refer back to the manual. The touch screen panel is responsive and gives the unit a clean, modern look. Aesthetically, this fireplace elevated the entire appearance of my basement. Before installing it, the room felt somewhat plain. Now it feels like a space where people actually want to spend time. It serves as both a functional heater and a decorative centerpiece. What I like most about this fireplace is that it delivers on the things that matter most: it looks good, adds warmth, operates easily, and creates a comfortable atmosphere. This is awesome for the price. It’s versatile in that you can place it on a table, entertainment center because it has legs or can go on the wall. Was easy to set up. It does give off great heat or simply enjoy the many colors of flames without heat. Great to set a timer for a few hours to go off that way there is no accidents leaving it accidentally on. Pro quote for a gas fireplace insert & installation = $5,500. Using this $99 electric fireplace insert as a Do-it-Yourself project, adding parts for a new dedicated electric outlet, new 12-2 wiring, a 20 Amp circuit breaker to the main box and faux subway tile behind it = under $250. Yes, it was a compromise for me, but also a no brainer for cost. Originally I wanted to center the insert, but instructions required a minimum 11 inches of clearance at the top. As to the insert, it is not bad. I like the flame effect & glowing crystals. The different colors of flame and crystal glow are a plus. Ease of installation was a 3 out of 10, with 10 being rhe most difficult. There are 3 options for mounting: 1. Recessed 2. Wall Mount 3. Free standing with legs attached. I chose to just wall mount mine, as my existing mantel surround comes out 4 inches from the wall. The noise level is not bad, a soft "whirring" noise that I cannot hear when I have music or my TV on. Overall this is a great product, although I cannot speak for its longevity, as I just installed it today. ... show more

This is a fantastic heater for the bathroom. When the temp is cold it works well. I can tell you though when it is below freezing it will need a little help. It works great for us though. I am not sure what really works well when the temp is 0 degrees except a wood burning fireplace. Worth every penny!! ... show more

I use this with the feet on it warms up the room nicely ! I had another one before but this one has the heat comming out on the top and has many more color options to change to . Loved the price was easy to install and is easy to operate . I am one satisfied customer indeed !!!

Love this fireplace. Looks great mounted in my wall. First I tried it on the legs and it just didn’t look sleek. It’s not super quiet but not loud. Love all the options for colors.
