  • First Car Stereo I Have Ever Installed
Installed in 2006 F150 after factory stereo went bonkers and was killing my battery. This unit is easy to install with adapters from a different company. Soldering skills help but you can use butt connectors as well. Dual supplies two wiring harnesses. The wiring harness with the RCA adapters won't be needed unless you have a vehicle with an amplifier or additional factory video equipment. ... show more

  • Ok for a budget head unit
Just installed in my daily beater to replace factory stereo. Definitely an upgrade over stock, but if I were installing something in my nicer vehicle, I'd go with something else. Pro's: Easy to install, compact design. Has BT, Carplay and android auto Decent touchscreen with good set of features, not a lot but just what you "need". Con's: USB cable is built in to unit, IE; not replaceable Remote is very Cheaply made, not sure how long it will last, but I'll probably loose it anyway. When using maps on screen, it is very hard to see, has no contrast. You can barely see the streets unless they are highlighted blue on your route. If, like me, you just want an upgrade from a stock radio from the early 2000's that at least allows you to connect your phone, then this unit is OK for under $200. I would have been disappointed had I installed this in my truck that has an amp, sub and better speakers. ... show more

  • Not what I'd hoped for.
I purchased this unit for my old 1996 Camry that still had a factory radio that I wanted to upgrade. The unit looks fairly impressive and does function well but it has some drawbacks. Even though it comes with a remote control, while driving, the remote is unsafe to use by the driver. So doing things like volume control or changing screens or channels require use of buttons. The screen has lots of real estate but that leaves with with very small buttons and difficulty seeing the screen and buttons from the driver's seat. I use Android Auto so at least I can take care of some functions verbally. The screen only has two settings for brightness control which isn't as bright as I need in the day and not dark enough at night. You can access its functions through Bluetooth or plugging into your phones charging port which is nice because it charges as you use it. Android Auto has had a few issues but were easily corrected by shutting off the unit and turning it back on. it comes preloaded with several apps including Waze and Spotify. Radio reception has been excellent and streaming occurs as you would expect it to. The hands free telephone works well once you understand how to work it. The finish plate goes on but it is not the best fit and finish. All in all it is an average head unit at best. If I did it all again, I'd spring a few more bucks for a nicer more ergonomically unit but this does serve my purpose. ... show more

  • Its simple
If you just want simple function its good. Has eq to adjust sound not bad. And gps with Bluetooth good enough when driving make sure you connect you mic for phone calls.

  • Nice Radio but no mounting brackets included!
The radio is nice but it does not come with a universal mounting system of any kind. If you are installing this in a car you will most likely buy a car install kit for your model. However I was installing this in an RV so I cut a double din sized hole in the cabinet and I assumed the radio would come with a mounting sleeve or L brackets to mount it. No it does not! It just comes with screws for a bracket but nothing else. How silly is that! The radio is a great value so charge another $10 and include a mounting sleeve. Now I have to wait on a mounting kit to install this radio in a simple hole. That's why I deducted 1 star. The radio performs well. ... show more

  • Top value for money and features
Legit 5 star *FOR ITS PRICE*. Great receiver based on price, features and performance. If you want a discount Android Auto/Carplay capable stereo with really good touchscreen performance, quick bootup and physical buttons then this is a great choice. You really need to hookup a backup cam and your phone for Android Auto/Carplay for this unit to shine but that's why I wanted an aftermarket radio anyway. I'm not an audiophile and don't care about cutting up my car to drop in subs, external amps, component speakers, etc. but the sound is great for me. DSP settings make this unit sound much better than my factory radio while still using factory speakers. Pros: price, shallow/compact build, physical volume/mute/power/home buttons, SWC compatible, Carplay/AndroidAuto, very responsive touchscreen, decent screen resolution, no cartoonish icons Cons: drab wallpaper/background (non-customizable), off-brand manufacturer, only a month since install so no real record for durability/build quality ... show more

  • Love it!
Had this installed in about an hour and have never done anything like it before. Great YouTube video to explain the basics and my new Dual stereo was in the dash behind a new bezel and blasting out of the stock speakers. So glad my research pointed me to this unit.

  • Great for the money!
I have this in my car and a $600 Pioneer in my truck. I prefer this over my Pioneer and I can say the only thing better about the Pioneer is it’s screen. I knew this before purchasing. CarPlay works great and unlike the Pioneer, I can quickly adjust the screen darkness. With the Pioneer, I cannot adjust the darkness in carplay mode. Also, I can actually set the Day and Time on this unit. Pioneer has many things to rant on. This unit, with its hollow back keeps my wires from bending upon installation. ... show more
