  • Works but requires modification.
I was hoping this box would be a drop in fit for my first 05 Colorado LT (crew cab) but you will need an angle grinder or something to cut a little off one factory seat mounting post. To mount you’ll also need subwoofer grille guards, or else the weight of the passengers will weigh on the cones and the subs will hit the bottoms of the seat. To install, I chose to cut a portion of one of the two front mounting feet, (it’s only four 18mm nuts to remove the entire rear seat from the four posts) I did this without taking the seats completely out of the vehicle but you will need another persons help. Push the front seats as forward as you can and recline them forwards. On the back seats, loosen the two nuts in the front, two in the back then pull as much slack from the center seatbelt as you can, and try to hold it taught till you can get the box in. Then lift the rear seats straight up from the protruding studs and twist the seats towards the front of the vehicle, so that the mounting posts are facing the bed. You should see there’s a metal bracket on the floor smack under the middle seat where your box should go, it’s held down by two 10mil bolts so pull that off as it’s gonna block the box. Now slide the box into place (T shaped box, have the flat top of the T shape facing towards the bed and the skinnier portion facing towards the hood, subs facing up of course) and determine how much you’ll need to cut. I tried to squeeze the seats in without cutting and tore up a portion of the fabric on the brand new box with the metal seat posts. Cutting seems to be a must for proper fitment which really sucks on a custom box! once it’s cut you’ll notice the back posts sit flush like how they were prior to removal, your front two posts will be lifted up a fair bit probably just shy of the front studs, you’ll need decent weight on the seat to get enough thread exposed to start tightening. Once installed, the box works great! Was hard to find decent subs that could fit the mounting depth of this enclosure but I’m more than satisfied with the ones I’ve chosen and the sound it makes! Once installed under the seats it’s hard to even notice it’s there unless the bass is hitting. I waited a long time before deciding to purchase this box some price under $80 which isn’t too bad, but needing special tools to modify my vehicle for a box that should be custom to the chassis sucks. I’d expect perfect fitment for something specifically made to live in this truck! ... show more

  • Don’t fit
Seat is right on top of my box and I have 3/4” of an inch underneath the mounting brackets of the seat I’m gonna have to make spacers and my back seats won’t ever shut normal again but hey they better then my 4, 6 inch sub box that I made for the Colorado that fit good but blew out my speakers and wanted and upgrade it sucks any mods on the Colorado never fit unless you do it yourself ... show more

Very tight fit but fits, these only fit slim 3.5” depth subs,

  • Decent box
Great little box. I did have to cut and lift the seat for it to fit though. You will have to buy grills to cover or you will damage the speaker if anyone sits in the seat.

  • Well…
Okay so, I was really excited to buy this box because before I just had a massive box sitting in my floor board and it basically made the whole back seat unacceptable unless you were very flexible. Well, needless to say this box barley and I mean BARLEY works. The subs (they are low profiles) just barley miss the top of the seats and in all honesty the length of this box could have been shaved down about a inch on both sides and it would have slid on in with ease but with the notches on the sides it kept catching the brackets of the chair as you try to set it all back up. Can’t fit a cage either unless you improvised. I would not recommend this product unless you are good with ingenuity. ... show more

  • Not bad
I bought this box because I wanted a box that's made specifically for under the seat of the 4 door Chevy Colorado. I replaced the speaker terminals with better ones. I had to cut the corners of the feet on the seat because it wouldn't fit the box. I'm currently waiting on the speaker grills to finish the install. ... show more
