When i got these they sounded great, 5 months later they started smelling and went south. So the coil burned up. Put the pioneers back that i ran 2 years prior (2 pioneer TS wx 130) and they are fine and continue to be. This company DS18 not only will not cover return shipping or burned coils. Took 3 calls to them to get an answer. (They were nice about it) but the whole policy is junk. Really sad because they did sound good and still look new. ... show more

Overall unit looked good, all metal construction, built in amplifier. Easy install the manual had it covered. Small unit fits in areas with minimal space. New product form DS18 figured to order it, install,test, and run the unit. The bass production of the unit is minimal not as punchy like you would expect, the unit over heated during testing, pushed the unit to its max capacity. It is not stable on max setting, had to turn down the sub gain to stable and cool the unit. On minimal settings it runs fine, bass is there but not as prominent as you would expect. I took a chance and purchased this without positive reviews. It is a good sub, it does what it was designed to do and has not burned up or stopped working. I did swap it out for a powered speaker with more bass though, because it does not have the sub frequencies, but has okay bass and punchy mid bass. ... show more

I do not usually leave reviewed that are bad but this was the sub I got for my birthday for my Jeep. I just installed it and nothing. Solid ground, power and remote connections. All tested with a voltmeter. Nothing will turn this subwoofer on. I’m very disappointed.
