I was skeptical with the ability of this product to remove the popcorn ceiling. There weren't any reviews by anyone who had used it for this reason. I rolled the nice and bought this. My house was built in 1993 and still has Popcorn ceilings expect for one small bathroom I scraped years ago. The instructions were not really helpful. This comes with some safety items including safety glasses. I wear glasses but the room was too dusty. I bought some safety goggles which I'd highly recommend for this work along with dust mask and ear plugs. I've done the old fashioned wet and scrape before, it's messy and time consuming. This product is fast but still messy. I did hook up my shop vac and it worked well. I had to clean my filter about every 20 to 25 sq foot of sanding. That was the most time consuming part of the job. My 11'×11' room took about 1.5 hours to complete. My ceiling is 8 foot tall, so I was able get one hand on it near the sander and one tge handle with the trigger, basically standing directly under the sander. I'm in my 60's with a back that often bothers me, but I had little problem maneuvering this working directly under it. I attached a photo from when I first started and one with it complete. Clean up... probably took 2 hours to whip down walls and vacuum carpet. Bottom line, I'd recommend this product for popcorn ceiling removal, especially with lower reachable ceilings and rooms that can be closed up to contain the dust. It's not perfect, but for the price, it warrants 5 stars.

I’m a general contractor, and I can say without a doubt that this is a really good machine. I’ve put a lot of miles on mine in a very short time, and it’s done great. Having one of these is such a time saver, and requires way less effort than traditional sanding methods. For homeowners or anyone it would be useful, but more so for people in the construction business, as it is for volume jobs primarily. Easy to use, ergonomic, comes with all the supplies/parts you could want, and really keeps the dust down. There’s no comparison to painstakingly sanding drywall by hand or with an annoying and messy orbital sander (both are equally tedious IMO). This drops the dust like a multi tool rather than flinging it like an orbital sander. So even if you don’t connect the conveniently long hose to your shop vac, it STILL produces surprisingly less dust. I would recommend cleaning/shaking it out regularly, and change the sanding pad more often than you think you should. You’ll have a pole sander that runs great and decreases prep time=higher productivity. I was tempted to go for an overpriced name brand one, but I am honestly 100% satisfied with this brand. I researched the options on Amazon and elsewhere thoroughly prior to purchasing one. You can’t beat the price (I did purchase it while they had a $65 coupon happening), the performance, and speed of shipping. Technically, the first one I ordered never arrived, but Amazon replaced it within two days, without hassling me in the least bit.

Only use if heavy sanding required. Hand sanding sometimes a better option. Cord is very annoying. Dust is not entirety eliminated even with vaccume. Still a great option. Rate this B

Used it on a scraped ceiling. A lot of dust. Got a little heavy after a while. Noticed that once the bag gets halHose to bag needs to be about 4 foot longer to do 10 foot ceilings. Used it on the walls and every thing is smooth as glass. I would recommend this.

Not worse it even penny. Cheap made with aluminum clips to hold the parts of the unit which brakes right away. The sender making more dust then just simple hand sending. Total waist money and time.

A great sander that doesn't capture 70% of the dust. Not enough suction to perform the way it was described. Would only recommend to contractors that don't have to deal with the mess.
