I used this on my wool items and I am just amazed. They came out nearly wrinkle free and still smell so good! The package comes with a bag you can put your clothes in to protect them while they are in the dryer. You get four cleaning clothes but not only that you get a stain pen you can take anywhere and a spray for particular spots that need attention such as for smells or odors. I will definitely be ordering this again! A lot more convenient and less expensive than taking your clothes to the dry cleaners!

PROS - I used Dryel on a down winter coat, a wool jacket, scarves, sweaters, and a silk top for an "extended clean" - 30mins on a medium heat setting. All my items came out undamaged and smelling great. The box says NOT to use the product on silk, but my silk top came out just fine. I'm not sure why...my silk top is black though, so maybe the warning is for more colorful silks? - Easy to use. All you do is put your clothes in the provided bag with a dry cleaning sheet. - Significantly cheaper than going to the dry cleaner's. CONS - As I mentioned earlier, the box says not to use the product on silk. Even though my silk top came out just fine this time, I'm not sure if using Dryel long-term will damage my silk clothing. - Even though the starter kit includes a booster spray to help clean soiled areas, you shouldn't expect Dryel to clean as well as a regular dry cleaner. I used the booster spray on a stain on my wool jacket, but it didn't lift at all. In contrast, my local dry cleaner's has been able to take out some pretty heavy stains on my clothes in the past. I wonder how much "cleaning" the product is actually doing, as opposed to just perfuming your clothes...

Great alternative to the dry cleaner. I bought a vintage blazer and after two uses, it did not remove heavy set in cigarettes smell. I gave it five stars anyway because it did a nice job cleaning it, the smell was a real problem so much in fact, I had to throw the garment away.

I have not been the cleaners in 20-plus years because of these fabulous cleaner kits. The scent is so much better than the cleaners chemicals and I never have to remember to stop at the cleaners, not to mention all the money I save. The other bonus is that I have never had anything shrink with dryel like I have had at the "professional" cleaners. The kit has a pretreating wand for stains. If you happen to miss any stains, you can simply pretreat it and try again, since unlike regular drying, the stains don't set it.

I don't even know where the closest dry cleaner is. And now I don't need to! These sheets are AMAZING. I dry cleaned a suit, a high quality sweater, and they both look/feel literally brand new. Will definitely be buying more!

As a person who suffers from fragrance issues, I was delighted to find a product that was scent free. The info on Amazon advertises dryel at-home dry-cleaner as unscented, but the very first ingredient on it's label is Hexyl Cinnamal a naturally occurring and synthetic scent ingredient. Hexyl Cinnamal is known to be associated with allergic reactions and as such, has a high concern rating for allergies and immunotoxicity. For individuals with allergies, even small doses of this ingredient can trigger skin reactions such as redness, hives, itching, or eczema within 24 to 72 hours. Even for susceptible skin, a dose below the limit of 0.01 percent can cause a reaction. Once a contact allergy is established, it is not curable, and the allergenic substance should be avoided in the future. The ingredient is also advised to be avoided by asthmatics and people with hyperreactive (hypersensitive) airway issues. There are also concerns about Hexyl Cinnamal potentially causing cancer although that risk isn't definitively established. You can imagine my disappointment. I am not willing to take the risk and am returning the package unopened.
