This 2 Pc Sewing Machine Muffling Mat/Pedal Sewing Mat Set really enhances the sewing/machine embroidery experience. These mat sets come in several sizes. I chose the largest size because I have a sewing machine that also does machine embroidery so it's quite large. If you have a standard size sewing machine, be sure and measure to see which size will work best for you. These mats are made of thick, dense, non-slip, foam. They arrive rolled up and you will need to unroll them and lay them flat and put some heavy items on the 4 corners for a couple of days to get them to relax and lay flat on their own. You lay these on whatever table you will be sewing on and you put the smaller one on the floor. Then place your sewing machine on the large mat and your foot pedal on the small mat. They do a fantastic job of absorbing machine vibration and minimizing machine noise. This is especially great for more affordable sewing machines, which tend to be noisier. They also discourage pins and markers and other notions from rolling off onto the floor. The foot pedal mat keeps the foot pedal from moving around the floor. If you don't use a dedicated sewing machine table (one where the machine fits down into the table), these mats are something that make sewing so much nicer. My sewing/embroidery machine really shakes and vibrates when I am embroidering something and it's loud, too. The mat makes it almost vibration free and it cuts the noise significantly (although not completely.) And when sewing, I actually just stick pins and needles into the mat as I am working. It's super handy. The foot pedal mat may not be a necessity if you have carpeting, which helps prevent the pedal from moving around. However, if you have hard flooring, the pedal mat is sooooo helpful. It protects your floors, too. I am very pleased with these and will be buying more mats for my sergers. They are that helpful.

Fits perfectly under my 6700P and extension table! I had used a neoprene desk mat before but it was too small and half the thickness. I feel like this has made a difference in noise and vibration. The smaller mat fits the oversized foot pedal comfortably and - best of all - holds it steady on high pile carpet. Genuinely surprised that this has solved my sliding foot pedal issues, I was expecting to have to get a desk mat and put this on top but nope, it holds steady on carpet just fine! Delighted π Color is also really cute. The large mat took a while to flatten out and the ends where my machine doesn't sit are still a little bumped out and not perfectly flat but that's not an issue for me.

Tightly rolled so it is bowed on both ends of both pieces, hope it will relax and eventually lay flat. It is nice and thick as a mats for my sewing machine and serger but are not non slip. With that said they are thick enough to not slip around too much

These are a bit big, but easily cut, and they hold my machine and presser foot quite well while limiting the vibration of the heavy duty machine. I especially like the small one for my presser foot -- I used to have to remove my shoes to use it, now it will stay in place and is not so difficult to use. This would also work well for my antique manual typewriter
