These are basic, maple drumsticks. They’re similar in head size and weight to the 5b I normally use for my beginning students, but are shorter by several inches, making it easier for younger kids to keep them under control. I think they’ll be good for some of my group class students who really, really prefer “real” drumsticks, but often end up losing grip on the larger ones. The sound is what you expect from basic, wood drumsticks at a lower price point. They’re not high end, but there are no splinters, they’re well balanced, and they work well for their purpose. With four pairs in a pack, this isn’t a class set, but a nice addition to one. I can also see them working with a cuff for students with special needs, and I will keep this in mind if I need more in the future.

This company makes good drumsticks that are lightweight yet sturdy, and these are a great size for smaller hands. I use their adult version (5A) and they are similar, just bigger. The price comes to basically $1 a stick, which isn't bad considering most kids don't have much control and will wind up breaking them fairly quickly. With this brand I think that's slightly less likely.

Well, they are drumsticks. They make noise when hit against something. They work as advertised.. They seem like every other drumstick I have ever seen so I'm not sure if it is better or worse than a professional drumstick but its legit. We use them with our toddlers to keep beats with songs on the floor.

My 7 year old daughter has starting learning the drums so I decided to get her some more appropriately sized drumsticks. She is using my drum set, not a kid size version, so the two things we are adjusting are the seat and the drumsticks. She is super happy to have her own set, and these seem like nice quality wood, very smooth and balanced. It's nice that it comes in a 2-pack because I have a feeling at least one of these will get lost at some point.

My son is starting to learn percussion, so I purchased these sets of drumsticks for him. They are really well made. My son is a little rough with them and they have held up well. It's great practice sticks for beginners.
