I am sure you know by now how expensive it is having a kid in high school percussion.... Mine had to have his own mallets when he started several years ago in Jr High, but this year had to be able to play double mallet on marimba and this was the suggested set. It has worked out great, was exactly what he needed, and best of all the carry case has enough room for other extras like drumsticks for the times he has to play snare. Bought this set for my daughter who just started high school symphonic band and needed her own set of mallets. It contained everything that she needed, and it was nice to have the 2 sets of marimba and bell mallets as well as a convenient carry case. The case was a little large for every day use, but will work well when traveling to out-of-school competitions. ... show more

    • A complete set for a percussion student
You get a lot from Innovative Percussion with this pack. You got an average register with these mallets, not so soft, not so hard feel. I would like IP would have included brushes in this pack, however, I am happy with mine.

My daughter is a high school percussionist, and this pack has everything she needs for ensemble and stage performances. We got a set of harder marimba mallets for marching band (she's in the pit), but this pack had everything else.

It's a great product for a student going into the vast world of concert percussion. A little bit expensive, but it is completely worth it. Good, quality mallets and sticks. Absolutely recommend this to anybody in need of some mallets.
