I use 5B sticks when I play rock or whenever I have to cut through the mix. I also use them on my practice pad. The heavier weight improves hand speed by giving your hand and arm muscles a workout. Then when I play live using my 7A sticks my hands just fly around the kit. These sticks are high quality and well balanced. The fulcrum point is matched on both sticks. I highly recommend these sticks.

Not sure why, but the signature ride-cymbal click that you would expect from a nylon tip is not very pronounced with these sticks. Maybe the nylon is a little softer than on others, or maybe the big smooth oval tip shape diminishes the attack, but they kind of sound like wood acorn shape tips. But they are a nice 7A and they only cost about a third as much as many others.

The first one out of the box took a single hit on the snare before it split. The second one broke after maybe a couple day session. They feel good, but they do break easily.

Use many sticks over the years and they usually break the tips off or the plastic falls off these sticks last very well. I’ve played 5 to 6 shows with one pair will continue to buy.

These were rated #1 by one of the drum magazines a while ago, so I decided to try them since they're also a really good value. The good: They're nice and round. The bad: the weights vary considerably. Over the three pairs, mine ran anywhere from 46-65 grams. At least I bought three pairs, so I was able to re-build the pairs into three sets that are close enough to work. But the 46 and 65 were originally paired together, and they feel vastly different from each other.
