Very nice tool to have in your arsenal for a do it yourself type. I needed to clean out a 1 1/4 inch PCV pipe that runs off from my humidifier. It extended about 15 feet with a couple of 90° turns. I bought this, not knowing if we would be able to get there but with a little bit of cranking and gentle pushing it made and ran the entire length of the pipe. I’m sure it saved me a couple hundred dollars to have a plumber do it. No complaints about this one. It worked perfectly.

It's plastic! And truth be told a little cheap, low quality feel to it. It's a great design, don't get me wrong, but I had problems operating from the start, barely got the clog fixed but then wouldn't wind back. Also the chuck for the drill adapter wouldn't spin correctly to wind. Disappointing, I returned it.

Got a toilet to flush again after a 3 year old flushed something that severely restricted the water flow. Put my DeWalt on it and slowly started it spinning and got it up to full speed on the low speed setting (1). Slowly fed the snake about a foot at a time into the toilet and Voila! Whatever my toddler flushed was dislodged and the toilet worked as it should again. Had one of similar quality that lasted a decade, don't need it often, hoping this one lasts as long. Feed the snake slowly with max rotation, gotta build up to speed slowly so you don't strip/break the inside drive parts and this should clear most things with no problem.

This gizmo has saved us many $100's of dollars already. Must have for around the house for any drains that clog. We always try "Hair & Grease" drain cleaner from Home Depot first, but if that doesn't do it, this always does!

very hard to crank manually. using cordless drill works marginally. Would rachet if any tension or bend in pipe occurred. would not make first 90 degree bend 26 in from opening. Waste of time and money!

I’ve never used one of these before and honestly thought the rotating handle was to extend the drain snake and retract it, it’s not for that it just rotates the tip of the tool. The actual snake it self has to be fed by hand in the drain as well as retracted by hand. I suggest purchasing some rubber gloves with this item. While my experience wasn’t nasty or messy I could easily see some jobs requiring you to touch parts of the snake that have been in your plumbing.
