Got a toilet to flush again after a 3 year old flushed something that severely restricted the water flow. Put my DeWalt on it and slowly started it spinning and got it up to full speed on the low speed setting (1). Slowly fed the snake about a foot at a time into the toilet and Voila! Whatever my toddler flushed was dislodged and the toilet worked as it should again. Had one of similar quality that lasted a decade, don't need it often, hoping this one lasts as long. Feed the snake slowly with max rotation, gotta build up to speed slowly so you don't strip/break the inside drive parts and this should clear most things with no problem.

Do you own a home. If yes, you need to own a drain snake/auger like this. You would inadvertently ned this at some point of your home ownership. The device is simple, unlock it and rotate it anticlockwise to send the snake down the drain till you reach the clog. Rotate it clockwise so that the clog gets stuck in the spring in front. Pull it out. For rotation, you can rotate manually or use a drill to do it faster. What is strange about this device is the way the handle is oriented in opposite direction. If you look at product description, in the last pic, the person is holding the auger the wrong way and giving a thumbs up. It doesn't make the product useless, but is more akin to using a left handed scissor (for a right handed person), just feels weird. The product works otherwise as intended.

I used it for the very first time yesterday morning to unclog my kitchen sink. I altered the tip to give me better service, but it worked perfectly the first time. It has an addition where you can use an electric drill, but I hand cranked a few times and it worked great. I highly recommend it! P S: I used to own a drain cleaning business.

I’ve never used one of these before and honestly thought the rotating handle was to extend the drain snake and retract it, it’s not for that it just rotates the tip of the tool. The actual snake it self has to be fed by hand in the drain as well as retracted by hand. I suggest purchasing some rubber gloves with this item. While my experience wasn’t nasty or messy I could easily see some jobs requiring you to touch parts of the snake that have been in your plumbing.
