Like the chair but arrived with badly misshapen (bent in) left brake mounting bracket causing brake to contact the wheel at an angle neat the end of the tab This is a clear defect in manufacturing places undue stress to the brake assembly Have Had this same chair from rental co had same defect brake broke off within a year This is clearly a manufacturing problem Drive should address The brakes always arrive way too tight for the elderly to use but I can fix this Who assembled this in this manner Why no QC on a system critical to safety Why not fix a problem that has put thousands of wheel chairs out to the elderly that will fail Called drive out of their work hours will try tomorrow and update review UPDATE contacted drive agent suggested I return it to amazon This item is not returnable and they should have known that. New chair would have likely had same defect Drive agreed to send new brake assembly after sending photos so i can fix when it fails ... show more

This turned out to be a narrow wheel chair compared to most I've seen. I guess "wide" means normal sized. Also the legs were "cheapo specials" and the foot rests wouldn't stay in position which was annoying. At 180.00 including shipping and tax the price was well above other non-Amazon offerings. Buyers need to remember that the cost of return shipping would make a return cost ineffective. I ended up donating it to the care facility where my mom lives because she didn't like too many things about it. Instead I fixed up her old chair which was much better made, but surprisingly from the same mfr. I bought it for 50.00 on Craigs list. All it needed was tires, and that was after 5 years of continuous use. ... show more
