Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I have dealt with two aging parents and several surgeries of my own, including joint replacements. The ease of use for this walker make it the best on the market. After using 7 different walkers in our home over the past 6 years, I can assure you that this particular model is better than all the others. It is large enough for a big guy like me (6’2” 300 lbs) and small enough for 5’3” 140 lb mother. It is about 3 inches wider than the cheap ones that home health agencies provide. The lever closure is so much better than those nasty pinch tabs that will hurt your hands and are famous for drawing blood. I’m not kidding when I tell you to buy this walker above all others. The price is right and the product is sturdy but light for the elderly. Being able to open and close it with one hand is such a great feature. ... show more

  • Love the easy-close triggers!!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I’ve been using a walker now for the last year and a half which has helped tremendously but my biggest issue was trying to close the stupid thing when I was by myself and trying to put it back in the car. My hands are very weak so just trying to push the buttons while folding the legs in was a real challenge. Not to mention the fear of pinching my hands in the process. When I saw the Drive walker with the trigger releases I hoped that it might solve my problem. I was also fairly confident in the Drive brand since we have owned several transport chairs from Drive. Plus, I liked the looks—not the old gray utilitarian look (although I do wish it came in pink!). When it came I was delighted! The trigger releases were a god-send—so easy (and safe) to use there is just no comparison!! It looks very nice, too. All in all, this is a great walker and I am so happy I bought it! I did have two small issue and I only mention them in case someone else may have the same problems: The basket I used on my old walker did not work with this one. The old walker had two crossbars in front which kept the basket in place once it was velcroed on. The Drive walker only has one front crossbar so the basket flopped backwards. I bought a new basket that has stabilizers that attach to the front legs, and that did the trick, albeit adding to the expense. The other issue was that the walker is extremely lightweight. That is good, right? Unless you’re like me and every once in a while put a little too much weight in the basket and then the whole thing goes crashing over! (And it wasn’t even excessive weight—my other walker and basket handled it just fine). After this happened a couple times I decided I had to do something so I bought a pair of wrist weights like you would wear for working out and wrapped them around the back legs just above the side crossbars and bingo! Problem solved! (But again, more expense.) Despite these issues I would definitely buy this walker again if for no other reason than those terrific trigger releases!! ... show more

  • Color of blue on walker makes it attractive.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Very light and easy to use. The trigger handles are so easy to use to close the walker, a nice feature for hands!

  • Sturdy, Stable, Solid, Secure, Safe
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
The abstract artistic design of the front crossbar is very attractive, with metallic green highlights, but it is otherwise just cosmetic. The walker itself does contribute to the safety of the person with limited mobility (and in comparison with my previous walker of a different brand). I like the folding design with release handles that operate like bicycle brakes. The only design difference I made was by mounting the front wheels inside the frame rather than having the pointy hubs and wheels on the outside. It's merely a matter of choosing how to insert the adjustable legs with wheels...either according to the illustration or opposite. The reason I placed the wheels inside the walker frame was to reduce the overall width of the walker. With the wheels mounted outward, I continually scraped the pointed "hub caps" against door jambs. Since my feet do not get placed against the front wheels anyway, mounting the wheels pointing inward reduced the overall width without reducing function. Overall, the walker despite its lower price than other brands, though it's not the cheapest, is highly satisfactory, especially since it's much lower in price than my previous walker of a different brand, which became so unwieldy and unstable for its loose joints that this walker lent me immediate security. ... show more

  • Does not fit in my bathtub
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Bought this solely to use in my porcelain over cast iron bathtub. The trigger release is great, it is sturdy and very pretty for a walker, but it does not fit in my tub without scratching it. Close, but no cigar. This particular one is not returnable, so I donated it to a local charity that loans out medical items to those who need them. ... show more

  • Very useful during Gout attacks
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I'm almost 42 and have been getting gout in my foot since I was 29. As I've gotten older, the more frequently I get attacks. Over the years, people have donated crutches to me and at one point I was handed a scooter to where you could rest your knee on. The scooter is probably the best to use, but this walker beats using crutches if you get an unexpected gout attack in the middle of the night and need to use the bathroom, but can't walk on your foot because there's so much pain when you put any kind of pressure on it. It's lightweight, easy to assemble and foldable. On the days I can walk on my own, it helps this is lightweight and foldable that way it's not in the way and easily stowable/accessible next to my bed. This thing can take my body weight, on average 200 lbs while I can only use one foot. It beats trying to hop around on 1 foot around the house any day. ... show more
