Our Master Bedroom is roughly 14'x14' and is an add-on suite to the original house. The central air unit is located in hallway of the house meaning that the room is the furthest room from the AC unit. It does a good job keeping the house cool, but the master bedroom rarely will ever get to the same temperature as the thermostat. Historically, it will be about 3 degrees warmer. So if I have the thermostat set at 72° F, then the master bedroom will be around 75° - 78°. For some, this may be OK, but my wife is a furnace when sleeping so I had to find something. I am not a fan of those window units sticking out the side of the house and decided to give this fan a shot. It definitely works. It is not an air conditioner, but when set up correctly, it does lower the temperature in the room about 3-4 degrees. I keep a gallon of tap water in a spare fridge and about 15 minutes before turning in for the night, I add the frozen ice packs to the water reservoir and then fill it with ice. If there is any room left, I top off the reservoir w/ the cold water. Then the fan goes on high (Level 4) until we're ready to go to bed then drop it down to Level 2 for the night. The phone app is laid out nicely w/ lots of options to control fan speed, humidity level, modes, etc. and is synced to the fan via Wi-Fi. The app also shows the temperature in the room and I can watch it go from 77° - 78° all the way down to 72° in about 15 minutes. I live in southern Louisiana which has very high humidity, but the fan does cool the room and keeps it comfortable throughout the night. The base of the fan is weighted and has little caster wheels on the bottom. That is a nice touch when you need to move it to access the back to pull the reservoir. It is also pretty tall and solid. Build quality if really good in my opinion. The only real drawback I might have is if the reservoir could be designed to maybe add just a bit of insulation to keep the water cooler throughout the night. I mean, it works and works well, but I can go two nights without topping off the water. I would be willing to sacrifice water volume for a little bit of insulation around the reservoir. Kind of like an ice chest so to speak. All in all, I feel this is definitely worth the purchase. ... show more

Very much so…. I call him ‘Berg’ and of course has to put googly eyes on him. Load him up with gallon of distilled water (heard that’s optimal for less cleaning), add in the 2 ice packs it comes with (works great without two) and Voila!! I find I have to turn him off (controlled by Siri, Alexa or app) after a bit as I go from hot to a little chilly, sometimes I’ll have my Alexa turn the cold buzzard off couple hours after I’m asleep to have that comfortably cool dozing off vibe. ... show more

This fan feels very sturdy and well-built. Its larger size provides excellent airflow and is powerful enough to cover a bigger space effectively. The only downside is that the control buttons do not have indicator lights, making them difficult to see and use in the dark at night.
