UPDATE October 2023: Maintenance HACK: Being in South Florida, ... In a continuing effort to keep the water reservoir clean (free of mold / slime) With about a WEEKLY frequency ... I remove the reservoir, and remove the pump in the bottom of it, REMOVE all the dishes in the dishwasher, then place the reservoir UPSIDE SIDE DOWN on the bottom of the rack. Put a normal load of soap in to the dishwasher, set in on a pots and pans mode, heated dry. The dishwasher is able to get into tall the nooks and crannies that I can not get into by hand. This has started about on a monthly frequency and gradually increased to about a weekly frequency, this seems to work well for the environment that I am in. The POST - SALE support continues to be TOP-NOTCH. IT IS A REAL CONTRAST TO MOST COMPANIES TRHESE DAYS !!! The fan is solidly built! UPDATE August 2023: The Fan CONTINUES to work well and I appreciate its durability in the searing summer HEAT! It helps a lot to cool down an individual room so that I don't have to cool the whole house! Each and every time I have needed (post-sale) support they have responded PROMPTLY and PROFESSIONALLY and they have been able to resolve any issues that I had. Support (Tina) has been top notch. I wish all sellers operated with such a high commitment to customer service. The fan works well, I use it almost every night. It does provide cooling. It can operate with or with out water internal pump turned on. Water will help make it a little bit more cool. As this is an "Evaporative Air Cooler" it was NOT designed to replace an air conditioner. There are controls to turn off the water pump portion as well as a 3 fan speed selection. Additionally it can be made to oscillate, I don't use this feature. The amount of AFTER purchase support has been GREAT (and a large motivation to write this review). The lights do come on after pushing the selection button, they are bright, BUT, they do turn off after about 90 seconds. The water reservoir capacity is a bit over 1 gallon. At the max fan speed this will last overnight and then some. One of my main dings is the need to "clean" the interior of the reservoir. A yellow buildup occurs with ABOUT 10 days of use. My usual cleaning method was to remove the small pump attached in the base of the reservoir and but about a 50 / 50 mixture of bleach and water. There are ridges and nooks and crannies and small ridges on / in the interior. These are hard to get to because of the spacing and their location, after a good 2 hour soak with the bleach and water solution this gets almost all of the yellow buildup. It was NOT advised to add anything to solution while the pump was attached as it could possibly harm the pump. For me a good alterntative is to remove the attached pump (just squeeze the clips on the sides of the pump) and place in UPSIDE DOWN in the dishwasher. This has worked well for me on multiple occasions and offered me a better solution the the bleach bath / soak.     • It's OK, not as cool as I expected it to be.

It works like what it is, a swamp cooler. It's just like a fan but with cooler air. It isn't as cool as I expected it to be. The blown air is noticeably cool but doesn't cool my 10' x 10' room. I put it on the lowest fan setting as that was the most comfortable for sleeping noise wise. I slept 4' from the unit and turned off the oscillation which provided enough relief in 90F weather. The water tank is cumbersome, the water supply line is attached to the tank's bottom. You can pull the tank out somewhat to pour water in but you'll miss and spill water on the floor. I had to detach the supply line and take the tank to the bathroom, fill it up, and then try to reattach the supply line without seeing the bottom just by the feel of my fingers. It advertises connectivity using Alexa but I couldn't find a Wifi network or Bluetooth device to connect to. The manual does not explain this at all. I'm taking away 1 stars: 1. Not as cool as I expected, 2. Cumbersome water tank ... show more

I’ve bought 3 fans in as many years, and thankfully this will be the last. Previously I was using the other 2 fans simultaneously to keep cool at night during the summer, but this does the job more efficiently than both. The cooling feature definitely provides a refreshing breeze rather than moving hot air around, filling it up it generally last 8hrs. Has 4 speeds, I was pleasantly surprised to find then 2nd speed feels just as powerful as full blast on the other fans. The top speed is a little “louder” than others but it’s still just mild whooshing/whirling sound, nothing noisy or distracting. - Packaging The cooler arrived in a package larger than the size I imagined, sorry I didn't read the dimensions before ordering. But that's a good thing because I spend the same amount money for a larger product, and larger usually means better performance for fans/coolers. - First use Straight forward and intuitive, I did read the quick start manual but I think anyone can operate it without reading anything. There's a couple of things to remember though, in fan only mode (without water cooling), water isn't needed so it's operates just like a regular fan. If water cooling is turned on, make sure water level is in between the minimum and maximum, which can be easily seen on a indicator at the bottom of the fan. - performance 2 ice packs came with the fan, put it in the freezer and use it when you want extra cooling in water cooling mode. Fan speed is adjustable and the levels are right on spot, which means the lowest speed and highest speed is within the perfect range. - noise I have been using this fan for the paat week or so, it's really done a good job on controlling noise compare to other fans I have in the house. Hope it will stay that way. - control I'm not a remote control type of person but both the remote and touch buttons on the cooler are very easy to understand and operate. Not worth the value. Have had this item for less than 5 months now and every time I look at I am reminded of why more money does not equate to quality product. I would buy a fan as it would serve a better purpose than this multifunction product that lacks in both areas. My smaller fan that I have had for years which was a fraction of the price has more wind power than this tower unit at the highest speed. The remote control would be nice if it lit up in the dark and I’m not playing a guessing game of which button does what. I used this product once and unfortunately missed the return window. Wish I could exchange it for something that I could use. Now I break it out when I have guests over but it’s nothing more than an overpriced item gathering dusts in the closet. ... show more
