  • Best Bass Strings
Style: PURE BLUES™ Bass: Light 40-100
Best bass guitar strings I have ever played. Bright, but without being brittle. Good midrange. Wouldn't be my first choice for a "vintage" sound, but for everything else, they are amazing. They feel like nickel and sound like steel.

  • Great for small hands players
Style: PURE BLUES™ Bass: Light 40-100
40-100 light gauge has lower tension that is great for small hands players, very easy to slap Smooth Nickel string touching with stainless steel sounding (treble/brightness)

  • They sound great on my P Bass
Style: PURE BLUES™ Bass: Light 40-100
I’ve always used Ernie Ball or D’addario strings for the last 20+ years, and decided to give these a shot after a friend of mine recommended them to me. They sound warm and awesome now that they’ve settled in for the last week, and I’m stoked on them. I’ll update my review if I notice any problems.for reference I play all styles of music, but use this P-bass in a punk/hardcore band. ... show more

  • Victor can’t be wrong, great stings!
Style: PURE BLUES™ Bass: Light 40-100
DR Pure Blues IMO are the best bass strings available, I have them on 11 different basses. The have a nice warm tone and have been very durable for me. I play light gauge on my 4, 5 and 6 string basses and these strings are easy on the fingers and keep good tone for a long time, they don’t go dead and I’ve never received a dead string out of the package either. ... show more

  • Dead out of the box
Style: PURE BLUES™ Bass: Light 40-100
Don’t buy these! Flatsound, No life —I’ve played bass professionally for 25 years. Mostly I’ve always used Earnie Ball strings, but here lately I’ve been trying different ones on a new bass I’ve got. These are the worst I’ve tried. They are just dead sounding out of the package and got even more dead after a week of practice and two gigs. ... show more
