These are literally the most comfortable insoles that I have ever tried! I have bought every type of Dr. Scholls insoles and these running insoles are the most comfortable. The arch support is the perfect height. The cushioning is the most shock absorbent. I have tried many other brands that were more expensive and I always ended up returning them and ordering these instead. I don't run! It just so happens that the running insoles are the most comfortable for any purpose, and these are so great that they make cheap shoes feel like really comfortable expensive shoes. I put a pair of these in my dress shoes, my walking shoes, my hiking boots, my work boots, etc. I literally have a pair of these in all my shoes/ boots. They last a really long time, but I have to keep buying more because I keep buying more boots and shoes and I want a new pair of these in my new shoes for optimum comfort, no matter how much the shoes or boots cost. I have a love/hate relationship with these insoles. I bought these in an attempt to ease heel pain that was brought on by rigorous gym classes. I purchased the Dr. Scholl's "Sport" version previously and wasn't overly thrilled with them, so I decided to try the other insole in their active line. This version (Running) was way more comfortable from the get go. You can feel how much support they have all over, and they do seem to cause less heel pain post workout. Plus, they're really easy to cut-to-size and put in/take out of your shoes. Now, if you're going to be using these solely for running/walking, they're probably fine. However, if you're doing any kind of burpee or lunging motion, be prepared to slip out of your shoes. I've tried them in 2 different brands of shoes, and have this problem ONLY with these specific insoles. I'm not sure if it's because the arch is higher in these than the "sport" and factory insoles I'm comparing them to, but my feet stay planted in my shoes just fine with the other insoles. It's really disappointing because I do love these insoles overall, but now I have to keep switching them in/out of my shoes depending on what my workout is for the day. I guess I'll just have to give the "sport" version another shot until they fall apart, and go back to the drawing board for a good insole that keeps everything stable. ... show more

Feels great on my feet. Squeaks loudly with every single step due to the rubbing of the plastic arch support against the bottom of my shoe. In a crowded gym it’s not a big deal. Any place quieter, I feel like I’ve been walking in the rain.

For various reasons, old-fashioned, rubber-toe, canvas lace-up sneakers are my go-to footwear for 90% of my days. The shoes are easy to find, somewhat reasonably priced, and have that great rock-n-roll aesthetic. What they don't have is the arch support or energy return (cushy bounce) of modern athletic shoes. These Run-Active Comfort insoles mostly solve that problem, turning my old-timey gym shoes into something more curved to fit my foot and more supportive for the plus size body my feet have to carry around. I can't say how these would perform in dress shoes - they might be a little too thick and crowd the shoe. I can't say what they would do inside an actual modern running or athletic shoe - again, it might be too much to shove in there and still have room for a foot. For the classic canvas low-tops that I'm wearing, they are perfect. Have put them in all my pairs and been wearing them daily for about 3 months now; definitely can feel the change in pain relief in my feet and better endurance when going on long walks. Definitely recommending these, even for us plus-side folks. ... show more
