I debated buying these for two whole years before I finally pulled the trigger during a Black Friday sale. The crazy horse leather looks and feels great, and I haven't worn any other shoes outside the house in the week and a half that I've had these. I will say that I bought some third party silicone heel cups and have been wearing them since the beginning [sandwiched between two pairs of socks] to prevent any stiff leather from chewing around my ankles. I am a true 9.5 in closed toe shoes and the 9 in these was still rather spacious for me, but it helps if your feet swell during long days. The shoes are heavy if you aren't used to a lug sole but not unbearably so. Great purchase all around.

This is now my favorite pair of shoes. It is also my seventh pair of Doc Marten's = four pairs of boots + three pairs of shoes. I love the Mary Jane's. I also have the floral print Mary Jane's and love love love both pairs. They don't have half sizes, but with the size 8 i wear thicker socks, and with the size 7 i used a lot of the balm and rubbed it inside and outside and bent them manually a whole lot the first couple weeks so they now fit fine. The thing about Doc Marten's is now when i buy shoes that are "other brands" they just feel cheap and flimsy by comparison. Very happy customer here. Shop around, watch for sales. And if you find a style you like BUY A COUPLE PAIRS because i found out the hard way that (a) Doc Marten's last a long long long long time, and if you ever want to buy the same style again, it (b) may be discontinued. It was a sad day indeed when i tried to re-order and buy another pair of the tall 12-eye women's boot and found it was no longer available. Sigh.

They are not quite as good as the pair I bought in the 90's when they were still made in England, but they are still great shoes. I can stand all day and my feet never get tired.

I’m between sizes for reference I’m 6.5-7 women but I ordered the 7 and they do fit good with a little space but I always wear thick socks with these shoes so they fit perfect without giving me blisters. Good quality and has weight to it but not too heavy
