Nice variety I used the items a couple of times with no problems. Today I bent the shovel the 2nd time I used it trying to dig a small hole to lant flowers. I would say if you have soft soil this set would be fine but not recommended in harder soil, they bend to easily.

This is a nice set but they bend pretty easily when shoveling out dirt for planting if the dirt is at all hard.

The shovels are no good. The day we got them we had a family work day in the garden. My 9 year-old grabbed the little shovel and it bent with the first dandelion he tried to pull out. Another child got the bigger shovel and it too bent. They can do very tiny weeds and dig very tiny holes but that's all. I did use it for planting flowers in a planter and it worked without bending but the soil was very loose and light. I would think the company would have tried them on a weed and seen them bend and made the metal stronger before marketing but I guess not. These can't pull weeds at all. The hoe/rake is so far pretty good. It's helped loosen weeds and made good rows for planting potatoes. The gloves are good but got dirty fast (darker color would have been better but we have other gloves so we don't care.). The best thing about this set is the shears. They are awesome! They are nice and small for my small hands. They open and close very quickly so I can prune roses fast. I got some at Lowes last year for $30 but they are big and cumbersome and keep locking on me. These ones are way better. Considering this whole set is $20, each piece is worth $4. But the shears are worth the whole $20. I'd give the shears 5 stars, the hoe/rake 4 stars b/c it's made with the same metal so it will probably bend or break sometime this summer, and the shovels just 1 star for the comfortable handle and nice look. If you want a full set of gardening tools just to have and use once in awhile, this may work for you. It could be good for apartment dwellers with a balcony garden. But if you're an avid gardener like I am you may want to get an expensive set that will last a long time.

This is a pretty basic and decent quality gardening set. I wish the pruning shears were a bit sharper but I could probably sharpen them myself somehow but out of the box I think they should be ready to work. The other tools are kind of cheap but got the job done when I replanted my flower bed. Overall a decent set for the price to get me going but I'll probably be upgrading sooner rather than later. 8/10 rating
