    • Great item if you lose a wired Irrigation Zone
I was very happy to find this. No one sells them where I live. They want you to buy a whole new system. This is easy to connect and you just run same zone twice A and B on your clock. It switches great and you have water again to the zone that is failed (wires) . You can buy these with 2, 4, 6 zones if need be. DIY person can do this.     • Relatively easy fix
How can a small switching device be a good value when it costs over $100? This electronic device can save you hundreds of dollars if you have certain problems with your irrigation system. I had a sprinkler zone dysfunction because something caused the hot wire to go dead somewhere underground between the controller and the solenoid valve. I didn't have to try and find the problem in the 100 feet of underground wire because of the Doubler. I was fortunate to have another solenoid valve next to the one that needed a new source of electricity, and it had a functioning hot wire. I just hooked up the Doubler as instructed in the user manual and solved the problem, saving hundreds of dollars in troubleshooting or placing a new hot wire for 100 feet underground. (The following is an added edit. It's important to run a third zone in between the two zones hooked up to the doubler, otherwise you just water the first zone twice because it doesn't shut off to let the second zone water.) You could also use this device to add another sprinkler zone to your system without laying long runs of wire to the new valve. It's worth every penny you will spend for it. ... show more

    • Worthless item! Same as wiring 2 valves together in the controller box!
It does’t provide any benefit! You can just wire 2 wires together instead of using the Doubler. That’s the reason they don’t except returns, people figure out that they don’t need it. It’s useless, why spend the money. I never even took mine out of the box!

    • Easy to install
Easier to install and lower cost than the competing Add-A-Zone product. However is is a bit wonky in getting the zones in proper sequence. They spell out the process in the instructions but I had to take a couple stabs at it to get the zones in proper sequence. Will probably be ordering more but I don’t know how long it will last. I’ve seen dozens of Add-A-Zones in the field and only one failed.....appeared to be very old as the appearance was waaaay different than the current model. ... show more
