Healthy. I didn't have time to care for the ones that germinated. This heat was just too much for them. Going to wait till a little cooler to start to germinate more. I'll be able to tend to them better. Had some before, they are beautiful.

The flower that you are seeing in this picture is barely an inch wide. It is about the width of a dandelion's flower and is only a shade of light violet. It is certainly not some deep ("double") shade of purple. Using a plant identification app, I discovered that this was just Alfalfa. A cattle forage plant. It could not be "Double Purple Devil Trumpet" [sic], which was advertised and which I paid to receive. "Double Purple Devil Trumpet" should most likely have referred to Datura metel or at least some species of Datura. In fact, now that I have done some research, the seeds in the pack look nothing like those of D. metel. For those two reasons, it is hard to credit this as an innocent mistake. I am very annoyed. I spent a couple of months caring and waiting for, what appears to have been, a deliberately substituted and inferior plant to grow and to bloom. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Was excited as these took off immediately. Flowered weeks later . Looks more like a weed, looks nothing like a devil trumpet.

seeds haven't come up yet. Don't know if the seeds are bad or it just takes a long time to come up.. I'll a little longer and see what happens

    • The seeds are viable.......
I have tried to get the seeds to root,,, so far. Let me explain my process. Receiving almost 20 seeds, I have done 50% in 2 different,, similar processes. First the seeds are dropped into water, in the matter of 12 hrs, almost all will sink, signalling to the me the husks have seeds inside. Those still floating are meatless husks almost 95% of time. Those that sank, are placed between wet paper towel, laid on plate,, with saran wrap cover to protect from some evaporation. ALL Other seeds started rooting thin white roots almost immediately. Nothing from Tiger's. But I still have 50% to propagate, which I would still consider a success,, but the odds aren't good. Willow Rogers ... show more
