The thermostat works very well. The stove is very efficient because of the superior heat transfer from the burner to the pot The burners have more thermal momentum than a conventional electric stove so it takes a little longer to cool down to a simmer from the high heat setting. The efficient heat transfer more than compensates for the greater thermal momentum so heating a tea kettle takes less time than my old conventional stove. One of the burners made a small buzzing noise which seemed a bit worrysome and sure enough it failed 10 weeks after purchase. I contacted customer service and the offered a free upgrade to their new stove if I wrote a review for it. I opted for a replacement instead which arrived 4 days later.
