This is the 2nd of these I bought. 1st point: If you are getting this for the Mirror feature on an Android phone look carefully it is unlikely this will work with your phone. 2nd point: It is clear this has FM radio, it DOES NOT have AM.. This disappointed when I bought my 1st one, but for the price I can live w/o AM radio. Other issues: It has 3 FM bands, you can store plenty of stations; be aware, if you hit the "autoscan" button it will write over ALL of you saved stations. The radio does NOT come with the necessary 5mm bolts needed to install it. These issues (and the loose part I discuss later) made me derate from 5 stars, but it does earn 4 stars based on: One of the features I considered a must have is a rotary dial for volume control (I'm old school and like this feature). The touchscreen is intuitive, and functions pretty well. That said it is almost impossible to use while driving.. the steering wheel remote works very well while driving, and for me is indispensable. The instructions ask you to test it first before installing it.. Cautioning it has "traveled a long way" This Is GREAT advice.. Before I hooked power to it I noticed a rattling sound ?? I opened it up and there was a loose metal piece, looks like a heat shield.. in the plastic bag there were 2 loose screws.. I put it all back together and all is fine the power on test is satisfactory. The unit is supposed to use the " factory" steering wheel buttons, I was not able to make this work, it is me, my trucks wiring or something else, who knows. anyway the unit comes with a steering wheel mounted remote.. it works great (just as it does on teh one I bought a year earlier in my other truck). The unit comes with a back-up camera, The one I installed on my other truck the B/U camera display works as it should.. I have yet to install the camera on this one. The seller sent me an email, offering support, with an additional (digital) installation manual.. As I implied above it comes with a PAPER instruction book. In summary: Would I buy it again.?. YES, I actually did It is a high end unit? NO, but at the price I bought the first one I considered it a bargain, a year later, when I saw Amazon had it on sale for 1/2 what I previously paid I bought another, for my "older" winter duty only truck. Even though I do not seek support, the seller offered. It DOES have good FM reception, plays any of my MP3 files from a micro SD "chippy" I installed, connects to my phone via bluetooth. ... show more

You can’t get much better than this for your money! Is it the best thing out there? No. Is it going to be better than your friends $300 car stereo? Doubt it? But will it be the best thing you bought for this much!? Absolutely! You can still listen to your radio, stream audio, video if you wanted but don’t expect your friends $300 set quality. You’re getting what you paid for quality. I paid around $30 for this. I had some credits so I don’t really remember final cost. But I would buy it again if I had another car that needed an audio set!     • Inexpensive carplay/android auto unit - DIY with caveats

For a cheap radio, it does the job. Wiring to an adapter was very easy and as straightforward as the big brands. The wiring diagram was accurate and intuitive to follow. I'm very happy with the price to features ratio, with one caveat: the fitment for my vehicle did not line up with standard double DIN dimensions. Some work was required with the trim and mounting kit, including shaving down a separately purchased bracket and trim piece from a major car AV supplier (so I know the fit should be correct for double DIN). I'd say the selling point for this is very much the price tag, and having a physical volume button (for some reason this is a super hard to find feature on radios like these). Android auto is working fine and the sound quality is an improvement over my base model stock radio. This is not a radio you buy and take to a professional audio installer (who should supply and warranty their own stuff). It is a Saturday project to swap out your vehicle's dated or featureless head unit. For the price, I can't complain. ... show more

Liked this product when I got it but I’m less than 2 months in and having issues. Volume randomly goes full blast and starts freezing when you go to cut it down or the radio cuts off going down the road. I’ve had to reset several times to get my Bluetooth to sync as it just decides to not recognize my phone. Update: customer service is seriously the best ever! Seller offered to make it right which is why I updated from 1 to 5 stars. Hard to find companies that care about their customers these days but this one definitely does! Would highly recommend just for the great service! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was not expecting much for 30 bucks. The support that everyone was raving about in their reviews was non-existent for me. I sent them three or four emails with very specific needs and never received a reply back. Now on the bright side after unsuccessfully wiring it myself, I spent eight bucks on the metra GM harness, it turns all of your mismatched wires into color matching so there's no confusion. Hooked it up with that harness and had absolutely no issues. I'm absolutely amazed at the features on this thing. Get yourself a harness if you buy it and you will not have any issues. ... show more
