I have been waitung for a hot plate like this for a LONG time and have researched, I think, every single one on Amazon! 🤪🤪 This little guy, and when I say little, I mean you can take it in your suitcase and go across the country to a hotel and are able to cook food in a partial kitchen or just NO kitchen and prepare wonderful meals in lieu of having to go out to dinner every night! It is so convenient, practical and a lifesaver when traveling. From other reviews I understand that it also is wonderful in your kitchen as a second stove top which we have not used it for, bc we primarily purchased it to travel, but I see possibly utilizing it at the holidays when we just don’t have enough stove tops. It’s easy to work, it’s easy to clean and as far as I’m concerned extremely affordable for a five star product like this! I 💯% recommend this to anyone! The uses are infinite! This was an upgrade so of course I love it. It's easy to set the amount of heat you want and it heats of quickly. It's very easy to clean and wipes down quickly. It has a large flat surface to accommodate a 12 inch frying pan. Would buy again Update - anything printed on this item - name, control information, etc. wipe off easily. I applied clear nail polish to try to save it so I could be aware of where the heat was set

This will be a quick review of the good, and an in-depth of the not-good. It does what it says it does. It's a great stovetop cooker, and definitely overkill for my purposes but I am completely satisfied for every use case I have for it. It heats up fast (faster than my actual stove), holds a good temperature, and generally keeps the temperature pretty consistent. Being that it has a glass surface, it is easy to clean, even when I accidentally dragged some polyester across the top that melted to it - a razor blade and some glass cleaner and it's good as new. The downside is a very specific scenario. I use this explicitly for making coffee, where temperature settings can be very sensitive, and I've found one specific use case that causes problems - where I brew a cup, have turned the stove off, then decide to make a new cup. If you are using this in a way that you're going to reheat something - that is initially it's on a set temperature, then you turn it off, then you decide to turn it back on, the temperature control goes out of whack. I'm benchmarking mine at somewhere around 99ºC, where it's just starting to simmer. I've also drawn on mine, so I make sure I use the exact same setting every time. If I heat it up from cold, for it will work flawlessly with my marked setting. However, if I do the "I've changed my mind" scenario, it will be anywhere between 1 and 3 plastic ridges on the knob above that marked line - the temperature control has to be turned up in order to achieve the exact same temperature. If just left on without turning it off first, it holds the temperature correctly. If left on for a long time, it holds the temperature correctly. My best guess is that in order to make a cost effective design, there are some shortcuts taken, and the scenario of On-Off-don't let it completely cool-On is one of those scenarios. To avoid this problem, let it cool at least enough that you can comfortably touch the heating surface with your hand, then set it to your desired heat. If avoiding that one specific scenario, this is a great stovetop cooker, even when requiring some pretty fine heat control.

I love this hot plate, easy to clean. It’s great that you can adjust the heat to your desired setting. It cooks just like my smooth top stove but small and a single burner and very convenient. It’s best to use cookware that fits the size of the burner. I have bought a few hot plates they were no good. This hot plate so far I haven’t had any problems with it. I’m very excited that I purchased it. It’s great for cooking in small spaces.

I bought this to use instead of the open-flame propane stove burners in our RV. The surface is solid and level unlike some wobbly hot plates. It heats up quickly and I can control the temperature exactly to where I want it with the variable control. It is just the right size and doesn’t take up much space which is another plus. I am very pleased that I don’t need to buy any new pans as it works with the pans I already have.

Our kitchen has been under a remodel since Memorial Day. So we have not had a stove since then. Finally, my wife said "I need a cooktop". This came in just a few days from ordering and has been a lifesaver. You need to be very careful, as this thing gets HOT. She finds that using it just half power is enough to cook pasta, sauces and frying small items. Just be careful around children, just as you would any stove, except this is free standing and can be pulled off the counter by the cord.

This burner suited my needs. I needed to fry a large amount of Akara in some palm oil in the outdoors, otherwise it will get very smokey if done indoors. This burner kept a pretty consistent temperature - hot enough to get the frying done in 40° F weather. The pan I used is a full sized skillet which was a tiny bit wider than the surface of the burner but not by much, so that was a definite plus. Cleanup was as easy as a simple wipe down. I did let it stay outside for over an hour as I've read the cool down can take a while. Very happy with this purchase. I know I'll be taking it on my camping trips as well.

I was in need of a hot plate that could quickly heat up my large water glass so that I could bring it with me to work. This plate was just the right kind of product for my needs. The ceramic plate heats very quickly and evenly. The plate is also large enough for various kinds of small to medium sized cookware pans and pots. The temperature knob is easy to use. One drawback is that the top surface of the plate can get considerably hot to touch when the product is in use. Caution is advised.
