I don't know why it took me so long to figure out that a soft, supple and comfortable entry door rug was permissible. :-) I guess it is the old Puritan / Yankee waste-not-want-not thing, but the idea of "ruining" a "valuable square of rug" by putting it by a door just never got past my frugal meter. I know, it is a little nutty. Anyway, this rug caught our fancy because the colors looked in step with our tile floors, so we went for it. Boy, are we ever glad we did. This rug is WAY more comfortable and does a far better job of getting the minor muck off wet shoes than our previous bristle and sandpaper style door mat. We were a little concerned that it might be too plush and thus interfere with the door opening, but it doesn't. Someone did their homework and ascertained the industry norms for door bottom clearances, and then had this rug's pile selected to be just perfect for slipping right under that door. (Our entry door swings inward, so this would be a deal breaker if the rug bound up on the door's bottom) it didn't! The brown color effectively hides minor stains and smudges, and the thing can be hosed off if necessary to get the funk out. We accept that this rug - being so soft and comfy - probably won't last 25 years, but you know what? At this price that's o.k. We'll buy another one if and when this one gets too stained up. What a concept! Five stars, no issues. Size exact, pile height works with inward swing doors, carpet is very soft and easy on the toes, yet durable enough and generic enough not to make one feel as if one is committing the cardinal sin of entering the home with wet shoes. Highly recommended.

So it's pricey but the quality and durability makes it worth it. It's thick, very plush and I love it's non-slip backing. I have this placed as a center rug inside my bathroom. While it's meant for an entryway rug, I'm using it differently. It collects dirt and also soaks in excess water without leakage. This is very easy to clean up. Because of the grey color, it hides imperfection and dirt nicely. I love the generous sizing so it's the perfect rug and I'm happy I stumbled upon this one. Even better that it's machine washable but I would recommend hand washing because the rubber backing overtime will start to wear and tear if using the washing machine.

I got this rug for my back sliding door where we let the dog in and out of the house. So, he usually drags stuff in from the backyard. This rug is a lot like those commercial rugs you see at businesses. This rug has a rubber backing to keep it from moving around on the floor. The rug part of it is like a commercial rug, but the pile is deeper and much softer. It does a good job of catching all the stuff on the dog's paws when he comes through the door, keeping it from going any further in my house. It does look a whole lot nicer than those commercial rugs, and looks pretty classy at the door.

This doormat seems a little expensive for the price listed, but if it holds up I would pay it knowing it was good quality. Only time will tell. It fits in front of my garage door perfectly. It has some texture to actual get the dirt off one’s shoes but it isn’t durable enough for outdoor use in my opinion. I did notice with the use I have had with it that it can slip a bit on my wood looking tile. It’s not enough for me to worry about falling myself but maybe for others that information is important.

Honestly, it's been a great addition to my home. The mat is simple yet effective – it does a fantastic job of catching dirt and moisture, which is exactly what I needed. This is a really comfy indoor door mat. Its soft and cushy enough that one of my kids just kept laying down on it. Definitely indoor only though, it would probably get waterlogged pretty easily outdoors. It’s got a nice tacky backing that keeps it in place even on tile or wood floor.

This rug is perfect for an entrance, but it can be used anywhere. It’s well made, soft, comfortable with or without shoes, and it’s attractive. The rubberized backing holds it in place very well, and makes it safer. It’s low pile and easy to clean… and it’s machine washable as needed. Creases from folding came right out with a few spins in the dryer. The charcoal color looks a bit darker on the floor, if it’s not directly under a light, but it blends well and looks great. I’m very satisfied with this rug.
