As part of our most stable line of sport performance bracing products, the DonJoy Performance BIONIC FULLSTOP ACL Knee Brace provides the ultimate in Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) protection during recovery from injury, as well as prevention of future injury. FULLSTOP dampening hinges prevent hyperextension and help improve joint mechanics in both surgical and non- surgical knees. Through the dampening cycle of the hinge, muscle memory trains your body to keep both the braced and un-braced knees out of the "at risk" zone. Compression and thermal heat regulation technology in the brace keep you from overheating during exertion. Anti-migration technology prevents sleeve movement, even during your movement. The adjustable straps on the brace enable users to have greater customizability for a more secure, personal fit. The brace is also equipped with reflectivity for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions. The BIONIC FULLSTOP ACL Knee Brace is designed to treat and protect ACL and meniscus injuries, joint instabilities, moderate ligament and tendon sprains, hyperextension, and patella support. This brace is intended for use in sports similar to football, soccer, skiing/snowboarding, basketball, lacrosse, or volleyball. How to measure -1. Strap is tearing away from brace

Funtionally this knee brace performs well to stablize my knee with its torn meniscus and it is comfortable to wear. However it has a design flaw. One of the straps is breaking loose from where it attaches. Of its four elastic straps only one is sewn onto the brace. The other three wrap all the way around and will not fail this way. The bad one is tearing away at the stiches, at both ends. I have ordered a wrap-around strap from DonJoy to replace the one that is failing. But without that modification the brace will have a short life. I have used this brace for less than 2 1/2 months. ... show more

Great knee brace
Size: Large Style: Knee Brace
Great knee brace with good support. My son had lateral meniscus surgery and he likes the way it support the knee and keeps it from shifting and rolling during various activities. It’s a little expensive but probably the best non fitted knee brace on the market.

Measure your leg, don’t guess like all the bad reviewers!

I read the directions which say, measure you leg., therefore I did (2X for good measure) I’m the exact size my measurements said I would be. Their fitment is clearly correct. My guess people think they wear a size small pant they, wear a small brace. Absolutely not. I wear a S/M pant, I’m 5’3 137lbs and I’m in a size large brace. Just for reference. I definitely noticed the feeling of stability while wearing. Although this will not stop all dislocations, it will get the major ones! I have a completely torn ACL with a meniscus tear and massive bruising of the tibia from an agressive dislocation. I can’t have surgery for 3/4 months and I have a busy schedule. I have used Don Joy in the past for my other knee (ACL reconstruction & meniscectomy) but it was a custom. Honestly I don’t feel a lot of difference in stability between the custom and this one. Obviously fit and finish but this is a quality piece for the price. Fits like a glove. I did adjust it about every hour. But that’s to be expected. I’ll reiterate, just measure your leg properly and don’t guess. You won’t have to worry about a return if you do that. ... show more

Full review for folks with torn ligaments

I have a fully torn pcl in my left knee, which I bought this brace for. I tore it about 8 years ago, it healed (sort of) and it tore again a couple months ago. I also have an older version of the same brace I would say I prefer. This one slides on like a sock, while the old one you could strap straight to your leg as if you already had shoes on. This new brace doesn't quite stay in place as well, nor is it quite as stable, so for the same price I paid 8 years ago it was a little disappointing. However, it does make my knee pain go from a 7 or 8 down to about a 2 or 3, so all in all, excellent brace :) I would highly recommend this to anyone with torn ligaments or otherwise destabilized knee ... show more

I was 22 when I dislocated my knee and knee cap, torn all three ligaments in my knee. Never went to rehab or had a check up MRI. Fast forward 3 years later (I'm only 25) I dislocated my knee cap, but not the whole knee this time playing tennis. Probably getting minor tears and straining all the ligaments again. The problem this time was I was 19 days out before a snowboarding trip I had planned and already paid for to Steamboat Springs and they were getting dumped on all season!!!...... So I took the best care of my knee that I could for those 19 days but could not really afford to go to the doctor for them to tell me there is really nothing they could do anyways. I bought this brace as well as a compression sleeve. Day 1 had close to 2 feet of powder on the mountain so it was impossible to even just cruise down the mounting. Being a person who can't resist a good powder day decided to just let it go and shred! After Three days of just getting dumped on with multiple feet of snow and I rode every day from first chair to about 2. My knee was sore and tender but with the compression sleeve and this brace I was able to board knee deep POW and not miss any days on my trip. The only thing I felt this brace was missing is a little more stability, but I think they have a different brace that was designed to wear after injury where this one is designed for injury prevention. Either way if you read this whole review or just skip to the last sentence, this brace is well worth the money. ... show more
