I spend a lot of time reading, doing puzzles, etc. and I was looking for a good solid chair. I liked the looks of this one, so I gave it a shot. Buying furniture without trying it out first is a gamble, but I've been very pleased so far. I'm 6ft.,175 lbs. and there is ample room for me. It's solidly built and well padded. The reclining mechanism is smooth and requires little effort. I got the linen fabric, and it looks very nice with my other furniture. All in all, it's been a good buy. I should mention that the carton it is shipped in is very large and didn't fit through my door. The chair comes in 2 main pieces. I was able to unpack them and get them inside by myself without too much effort. Assembly was easy.

Domesis Cortez Push Back Recliner Chair in Blue Linen Material - a polyester weave fabric; Weight - very light and easily carried or moved; easy assembly; Comfort - padding is nice but I'm sure it will change over time but it's firm for now; the lumbar section on the back protrudes a bit but it's not horrible; the footrest when opened angles down a bit and there's an opening between the footrest and chair seat - my cat isn't happy about that, there is fabric but is drapes down so I'll add a pillow for him I guess; Other - it's really high I sit higher than my husband...but I went to the hardware store and got some shorter feet to put on that should help. I love the look and color - teal and the small footprint it takes up in the room. The push back mechanism is also pretty easy to use.

It has been over a month now with the Domesis Cortez Recliner Chair so I thought It was time for a review. #1 I like the recliner, my feet hang over the footstool but I don't mind that part. I badly needed a small recliner to relax and watch TV and sports--this one seems right for me. #2 To get recliner to move forward and back I must physically exert or lunge forward and backward, ( this does not have a lever attached to the side of chair, although I am constantly reaching for a lever when I get in and out of chair ), again not a deal-breaker. #3 It's true, if you really want the top shelf recliners then you gotta spend $1000-$5000, this one cost me $350, It is what it is. #4 Would I buy this item again, Ummm undecided I guess. #5 Shipping was by Fed Ex and recliner arrived ahead of due date and there was no damage to box. Closing, I gave the seller 5 stars, it worked out for me, I am not a very tall person ( 5'9), I weigh about (180 ) so I do get to relax and it is a feel-good, quality- made piece of furniture. Assembly was soooo easy, 20/30 minutes tops (by myself ). Please buy, if height is an issue this may not work for some one 6 foot 7 etc, but this is a very nice chair...one more thing, Faux Leather is advertised but be sure to ask Seller about all materials and designs.

Very comfortable, well-built manual recliner. The upholstery is is a nice quality and the linen color is a khaki shade that is just what I was looking for. The chair is fully padded and feels sturdy and well made. I had help with assembly, but it went together quickly with no problems. I am planning to buy another color of the same chair, that's how pleased I am with the purchase.

These chairs are absolutely perfect! I've never ordered chairs online before so I was so afraid I wouldn't like them or they wouldn't be comfortable. But oh my gosh, they are so comfortable and beautiful. The fabric is wonderful and appears to be sturdy. They push back nicely and from there recline further. My husband sleeps in his. The paisley fabric is so pretty and looks just like the picture. I would order them again! Assembly was a snap. Just slip the back into place and screw on the feet.

I read the other reviews prior to purchasing and still thought I'd be happy with these chairs. NO not the case. They are on the small scale. I am 5'5 and sitting in the first recline position my feet over hang the footrest by at least 4". The seat is hard, the foam is very, very firm. It either relaxes some after a week or we are getting use to it. I ordered the renu faux leather upholestry. It is so cheap it reminds me of a slightly thicker version of a cheap flannel back vinyl tablecloth. This is the most disappointing part of the chairs. I feel like it will be so easy to accidently tear or cut this covering. It feels so flimsey. I don't see these holding up as chairs that are used 4 or 5 hours a day every day. I plan on moving to another room getting less use if they can hold up for a few months. The style is attractive and nail heads are a nice accent. Unfortunately, the sweetness of low price is quickly soured by the bitterness of poor quality. Don't discount the reviews and hope for a better outcome.

I am happy with my chair. It looks really nice and is comfy. It’s as described. My complaint concerns delivery. I received no text and no email that the chair was being delivered three days to a week early. I knew it was coming early only because I checked shipping updates on Amazon’s website. Anyway, in the afternoon on Saturday, a neighbor notified me that there was a large box on the sidewalk in front of our house. I never received a notification text! Before or after it was delivered and it was delivered around 10:30 that morning. Suppose we were going to be away for the weekend? I don’t know what company delivered it but I always get texts from UPS. Just not happy with getting no notification. Oh, nearly forgot to mention that the shipping box was taped and re-taped and had a large hole ripped in the side (with no tape). Fortunately, the chair had no visible damage. Bottom line...I like my chair.

You never know when you buy something like this mail order. If I assemble it and then find it isn’t all that comfortable, then what do I do? Disassemble it, pack it up and have UPS come pick it up? It’s a real crapshoot. But this chair is actually pretty nice. I got it in the brown faux leather. It looks elegant, matches my decor of browns and greens, and it has nice cushioning and reclines way back (without having to struggle with a handle). I’m happy with it.
