    • Great cleaner- App… room for improvement.
So I got this cleaner for our fiberglass inground- had it for about a month, used it about 10 times now. It does a great job cleaning the floor: gravel, leaves, fine dust… Very long cable. Never got tangled as in other review. Easy to empty the basket(it has a handy trap door at the bottom-clever!). The issues I find with it: 1. The app is working, but the manual control is soooo delayed- it’s frustrating to try and clean a certain area or even try to guide it to a certain spot to pull out of the water… it could be due to the WiFi connection limitations, but Bluetooth is not an option for me- I like to control if from anywhere. 2. It doesn’t seem to have an option to empty the trash bin without resetting the cleaning cycle- you get a notification that it’s full, but as soon as you take it out of the water is basically turns off(I get it: safety and stuff), but there should be a way to “pause to empty bin” option or something… It messes with your schedule if you plan on taking the unit out after the cleaning cycle is complete. 3. The waterline cleaning is hit or miss- it’s weirdly inconsistent. Sometimes it won’t be able to climb the wall to be picked up out of the water, other times it’s just fine… Overall- I would probably buy it again- the reliability issues? I got the extended warranty thru Amazon for $150 for extra 2 or 3 years, so that’s 5 years of worry free use. It’s definitely a premium unit, it feels nice, it does a good job cleaning the pool, didn’t have any issues with it loosing connectivity etc… it never got stuck or “confused”, it does what I expected, but $2000 seems pretty high. ... show more

    • Works really well in our large pool. One small beef about their Android app.
We have a large-ish 40,000+ gallon pool Likes: Does a thorough job. Filters relatively easy to clean. Being attached to a cable as opposed to wireless may seem like a con, but it means the suction motors can be stronger and more powerful than they could be if it were 100% wireless which means it does a good job. Climbs/cleans walls and cleans the waterline very well. Dislikes: The Android app used to control it does not have an 'exit' function. You can dismiss the app by using the 'home' button on your phone but the app will continue to run in the background which means it's still consuming memory and battery. To completely exit the app and stop it, one has to use the phones "force stop" function. (This is probably true of all Dolphin robot cleaners). When I reported this behavior to tech support, they seemed unconcerned and not willing to fix it so now that I know, I always just force stop the app when I'm done. ... show more

    • Great Machine - Set it and forget it
I've been using this robot for two months now. First of it was easy to assemble and very easy to use. Cleans up the pool 10 times better than my previous Polaris robot, and the filters can be cleaned faster and easier. Very good quality structure that works efficiently.

    • WiFi issues and no customer support
The WiFi connectivity issues others have complained about is real. When connected, the app shows a strong signal so I am not clear why it disconnects and refuses to rejoin the network. I have > 50 devices connected to my router w/o any historic issues. The Dolphin E70 will disconnect from my router every few days. The worst part is that it will not follow the schedule if it isn't connected to WiFi, so if I don't notice it disconnected for 4 or more days my pool looks horrible. I contacted Maytronics tech support through their online portal and received no replay (EXCEPT for an email asking how I would rate their support??). I was running the unit in 2 hour increments on a 40k gal pool. When it was running, it wasn't doing that great of a job cleaning. It may just need more than 2 hours but I gave up and returned the unit before trying to tune it to my pool. I am surprised by the lack of support for a $2,000 unit. Overall I will say the unit was doing well. I would have likely kept it if it wasn't for the connectivity issues and lack of support. ... show more

Although it is expensive, it does the job quite well! Our Pool is 20 x 40 feet, and the cables cover the length perfectly. The suction of this robotic cleaner is good! The climbing rings have lasted much longer than the other ones, for which I am very thankful. We are this far satisfied! The three-year warranty is certainly a plus! ... show more

There will be no turning back. The E70, although pricey, is a beast and is hard to beat for medium -large pools. Started putting in a new pool late last fall. At times, the Explorer was the only filtration for 40,000 gallons. Put in service late October, it runs tirelessly cleaning in 2-2.5 hour intervals. No more vacuuming ever. Here are the stats. 110 hours of work, 114 cleaning operations, 552,100 gallons filtered, 217,000 feet covered. Just ordered a second set of fine filters. The media could not be loaded. So this is the more advanced the newest sexiest technology. I found a very helpful because I had an old dolphin before it gets stuck on the platform all the time this one I’ve been using it for almost a month and it doesn’t seem to have that problem, which took a big load of my shoulder Also is sent you give you indicator about the cartridge if the cartridge is full you’ll tell you in your alert and then so we can go clean it up overall I’m satisfied it just that count to pick me up that function doesn’t work for me I’m gonna load another video to explain that to you guys overall I think it’s $2000 save me a lot of time and trouble I think it’s worth it ? ... show more
