These bags fit the 280 perfect and work beautifully. I have been alternating the two bags. Remove the bag that is in service and allow it to dry out. Then clean it. MUCH easier than cleaning a wet bag. I actually invert the bag and hit it with a ShopVac. It comes 99% clean. Even all the fine debris that collects in the Velcro closure. Swap bags as needed, let the full one dry out, repeat. If you use the smaller Cu-lator, for metal removal, you can put it in this bag. Update 7-29-18: unlike some other users, mine have held up for one year, no Velcro failures. I’m getting a few little holes in one bag only but that’s from me just leaving it laying on the pool deck untouched for a while. Any bag you are not using will hold up much better if you clean and dry it and store it indoors out of the elements. I’m getting another set and think one years use out of an abused bag is darn good! And the other bag is in fine shape, so I’ll have three to alternate. You can’t beat the service to price ratio, it’s a good value. UPDATE 12-14-21 Service life is two years plus with these bags. Only had to replace one because the new puppy shredded it! I consider them disposable and a good value.

Can't beat the cost, works well with the vacuum, but the velcro closure is difficult to open and clean. If I don't clean the velcro, it doesn't stay closed as well. But, it works as designed.

I replaced an OEM Polaris 280 bag with this one. It’s a little larger than the Polaris bag and that’s the primary reason I purchased it. The Velcro closure is another. I’ve had too many getting-stuck issues with zippered bags. It will be interesting to see how well this bag holds up, as it went into my pool for the first time today. The Polaris bag did very well in this regard.

I purchased this instead of getting the Polaris genuine version of the vacuum bag. I ultimately choose this item because it was cheaper and had 2 bags, so I could dry a bag and replace it with a new one because it is a lot easier to clean and dump when dry. At first I liked them a lot, the major con was it had a velcro strip rather than a zipper. The problem is that a lot of sludge and dirt gets stuck in the velcro and I never got it out and it would bother me how it always had dirt and grim locked in. However, the biggest issue was that they both got tiny holes after only a few months. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal but it spits out dirty and defeats the purpose. It will work as a good short term solution but ultimately, mine ripped from the leaves and pines falling in the pool so I will get something stronger and more durable last time Good value just not long lasting in my humble opinion as my original lasted 3 pool seasons before it got covered in algae.
