I've tried many different bark collars over the years to aid in training. Our dogs are working type dogs and I don't need them barking for attention, I need them barking if someone comes down our drive or if an animal is out. HOWEVER, I recently adopted a Jack Russel from our local shelter... OH MY GOSH THEY BARK CONSTANTLY. And they're smart too. So smart in fact that when I take the collar off to charge it every day or half day depending on how many times he gets warned with the vibration or beep he stays at the door and barks until someone goes outside with him. Once the collar is back on he only barks if he needs to alert us to a snake, a child that's fallen, or an escaped goat. I wish this collar had better battery life because it's such great quality but I find myself charging it more than we can use it.

The e-collar/dog training collar has very good battery life. I own a few different brands of these kinds of collars. For household use to control nuisance barking the more affordable collars are more than enough, though this one is at the higher end of the pricepoint for non-professional training collars. I like that great battery life and the easy button layout but I am disappointed in not being able to control the volume or the vibration intensity. You can only control the shock, which I really don't use on my dogs. The dog that does the most nuisance barking responds to tone but the tone on this is very low and he doesn't always hear it while he is barking. So, based on the higher pricepoint and this oversight in design I cannot recommend this particular product. I have used other models from this same brand that were more affordable and had better functionality, however, so I would say to look into their product line.

This is a good training collar. I don’t use the shock option but the beep and vibrate work very well and definitely gets my pup to refocus from the behavior she is starting to go in to. The action to execution response time is, in my opinion, is perfect and is speedy enough, she should easily be able to associate her unwanted action to being corrected. I have not had to use the maximum range of the remote, but it works without issue at least up to 500 feet. The battery life is better than expected and appears to be comfortable for her to wear for a few hours at a time.

This is perfect. The shocks aren't horribly painful. Just enough to jolt you. There are several options for ranges of shocks and it's executed well. I would recommend this

This dog collar is quite decent. It is sturdy and waterproof, which is great for those rainy day walks or when my dog decides to jump into a puddle. My dog can play in the yard, and the collar works without a hitch. It's nice not having to hover over him every second. The battery life is another winner. Charge it once, and forget about it for a good while. It's a real convenience booster. I'm quite satisfied with it. Training my dog has become a bit easier. He's learning to stay close, even when those pesky squirrels are around. It's not a magic solution, but it sure helps. Giving it four stars feels just about right. It's a good collar doing its job well, making those training days just a bit smoother.

I have been using training collars for a few years now. We got this one because one that we were using on one of our dogs stopped working. We never use the shock portion of the collar and never will. So when it comes to training, we rely on the buzz and sound features to get our dog's attention. This one just misses the mark. We can not increase the volume on the sound feature. It seems to be stuck on about a low/medium volume. Our dog hears it but it's not as effective as it would be had the volume been able to be adjusted.
