After about 2 months of fishing the reel began to tighten up. I always rinse off the reels when I return so no salt or crud buildup could be found. When I took the side cover off, there was almost no grease in the gear case! All it took to fix it was a spoonful of grease brushed onto the drive gears and shafts and hopefully no damage to either.
