I have a mini dachshund and a chihuahua. The crate was super easy to put together - less than 20minutes. Each side has a good amount of space where their beds and blankets fit very well, and have enough room to spread out when they sleep. The doors open and close with ease, and not easy for them to open from within (if you have a little escape artist in your house). If your dachshund is a standard size (20+ lbs), I would not recommend this size crate as it won't give their longer body the space to move around as freely. This is in my living room and even looks pretty - doesn't really look like a cage. The quality of the crate is really nice, even where my son sits on it (150lbs) with no issues. The value for the price, you cannot beat it.

This dog crate table exceeded our expectations. It looks exactly as described and blends perfectly with our furniture, which we really love. The design is both stylish and functional, and it feels very sturdy and well-made. Assembly was simple, and all the pieces arrived in perfect condition with no scratches or damage. This cage is great! Great dimensions which I measured the desired area I’d want to put this cage before I bought it! I got griege which I’m think they intended it to be a “grey beige” and fits my house’s aesthetic nicely! I was wary before buying due to the reviews of assembly, but this cage only took me an hour, the directions were easy to follow, and for the holes that don’t match up, flip them and turn them around until they do! The holes really do fit, parts of assembly, I’d have to loosen previous screwed in holes to adjust slightly the wooden board and once all the screws were partly in, I tighten the rest. The cage is pretty sturdy, and I appreciate the middle divider for both my dogs. When I leave the house for a longer time, I’d take out the divider so they can cuddle up on each other. Also, it’s a functional table. I’d recommend to anyone with two small dogs or one medium dog without the divider.

I chose this crate because it's larger than the crate I had in the house and presumably sturdier. I had wanted a more furniture-looking piece that had some storage, but I was under a time crunch and this one had a 2-day free delivery (rather than a 5-15 day delivery with up to $80 delivery fee - even with my prime membership). I decided to give it a go because it has a 4.2-star rating. I did read several reviews, but it was midnight. I should've dug deeper into the 1-star reviews. The good: * The pieces were all clearly labeled with stickers, including the screws in separate, clearly labeled bags. That was GREAT. * It looks nice enough and the top is thick and sturdy enough to be a usable surface. * The locking system seems secure and not something a dog would be able to easily undo/open * The center divider is removable to make a larger interior space for a larger dog (My dog is a low-rider, but quite long and needs room to stretch out. The not-so-great: * It took me roughly 3 hours to assemble, and should've taken less than half that time. * the cheaply made Allen-type wrenches (star head, not square) stripped. Not the screws. The WRENCH. So after the first few screws, the wrench would no longer fully tighten as the wrench would just spin once it got anywhere near snug. * there was one screw holding a side wall to the front frame that only screwed in about halfway. Nothing else would line up until that was fully seated. So I eventually had to use pliers to create better leverage and fight this screw into place. Multiple times you could hear the metal twang as the screw tightening was forcing the two pieces to align. I had to use the pliers for several other screws simply because the wrench itself was stripping. I know it was the wrench because initially, I switched ends from the short end to the long end and it worked on that same screw - until it didn't, and then struggled with every screw after that. * one of the screw holes that hold the floor in place at the center line (sort of an important connection/support spot) is about 1/16" out of alignment (see pics) and the screw in the picture is as seated as it will get. It just spins/starts to snug and then NOPE. It's not stripped. It just won't align in order to actually screw into place. So I am currently using a whisper and a prayer to hold that in place when my dog will be in it later today. * the bottom right screw for BOTH back panels (same location on each panel) is out of alignment enough that the teeny, tiny screw cannot even find the hole. Not sure if I can successfully drill a new hole in the panel to line up with the metal hole as it appears to be JUST out of alignment enough that this would create a too-big hole and not a properly sized new hole. For the moment, the crate is pressed against a wall and so hopefully that'll be enough to keep it in place and my clever dog won't figure out there might be a means of exit when unsupervised. * MOST OF THE SCREWS HOLDING THIS TOGETHER are 1/8" to 1/4" long! It's a wonder they actually were long enough to seat properly. It does not bode well for long-term stability. *I am not using the center divider as my dog is long and needs the room - that's why I bought this one. But, without the divider in place, there is a 1.5" gap between the two doors (see front-on pic). This is large enough for toes to get into and possibly stuck. They should include a strip of metal that can fit into that space when not using the divider to ensure safe and complete closure. So, I'm going to try this today, but I may have to disassemble the whole D*mn thing and Tetris it back into the flat-pack box it came in and return it. I am extremely disappointed. I gave it one star because because the screws are tiny and do not bode well for long term stability, a primary screw hole that holds one of the floor pieces to the frame is misaligned and will not screw in, making the floor of the unit unstable for housing a dog, bottom right corner of each of the two back panels have misaligned holes, creating an escape potential for a clever dog.

My pups are 9 years apart so the divider is perfect! Once my puppy gets older and calms down a bit I can remove it. The color matched my decor and the cage doesn’t take too much space. The quality is impressive for the price. It’s sturdy and the latch isn’t flimsy. The instructions were clear and I assembled it in no time. Great purchase.

This is a well made 2 small dog crate- looks SO much better in our house. I love the solid back on it- so our dogs can't grab the curtains or whatever in the room and chew them up when they're crates. Assembly was tricky but everything ended up working great. I also love there is a separation piece if we want to use it as 2 separate crates.
