My dog had ear hematoma surgery. This worked great and gives a bit so not smashing stuff. She was very comfortable in it for 2 weeks, (that is after the first couple hours). She couldn't scratch her ear or lick a back foot wound.

It is well made of great material. I bought the correct size according to neck and weight measurements. But it isn’t long enough to prevent her from getting to her surgical site. Many of the dogs shown are wearing collars to short to prevent licking. Our vet said, after we had already bought it, that it should extend 1“ beyond the dogs nose to be effective

I purchased this for my dog as the plastic cones look so uncomfortable. They are hard and nonflexible. I love this cone, because of the Velcro it will adjust to any size. Now my dog is not a fan of cones as I am sure a lot of dogs aren't, but after all the fighting and moving all around the house my dog was not able to get this cone off. The velcro sticks very well. I do recommend this product for your fur babies.
