I ordered 2 Dr. Hoy's roll on pain relief and one tube of recovery cream.instead I got 3 Dr. Hoy's and no cream. I use the roll on to ease my arthritis and I wanted to try the cream, as it is new to me

    • Decent Arnica option
With a dancer in the household, Arnica cream is sort of a regular purchase for us, so the chance to try this set out was jumped at. At this point, this is a shorter-term review since time and use will tell how it compares, but it's a starting point. The cream seemed to work well enough, on part with other creams. Spreading and absorption, and of course pain relief, were as we've come to expect from a cream. The roll-in is where we had the most interest, as this was a new feature. This gives the option of placement exactly where needed without having to get cream on your hands, which can be good for a quick touch up. The challenge with the roll on however, is the inclusion of menthol and camphor, which in some situations might enhance the use and experience, but in a hot sweaty dance studio is not necessarily an odor others want to have shared. So while the roll on provides a good and different dispensing system than we're used to, an unscented version would be more useful in our circumstance. Overall, the cream is on par with other creams (she does like the dispenser vs. dipping into a tub), and while the gel roll on is a great delivery system, the odor limits when it can be used. The cost is about double the other brands we use, so longer term usage will determine if we become repeat customers! ... show more

This is a nice combo pack. Both use natural key ingredients to help with pain relief. The gel provides fast, cooling relief for my lower back while the cream is gentle on sensitive skin such as face & neck. All in all, a good pain relief combo set. It works well for me. Good product.

    • Worth a try!
I had not heard of Arnica Montana before and was a bit skeptical that a natural product would really help with aches and bruises. There are no synthetic lab ingredients in these products, which I'm not totally against where necessary, but prefer less toxic chemicals on and in my and my kids' bodies if possible. So I was pleasantly surprised that as a topical agent, these provided a nice amount of relief. I like the cream because there is no strong associated scent with it (and feels just like a regular lotion). The roll-on gel has a stronger minty smell (from the methol and camphor) that reminds me of my arthritic grandmother who used to put on salonpas pads daily, but I won't hesitate to the product for bigger aches and pains. If you're looking for something more natural for pain relief, give these a try. You might be as surprised as I was by their effectiveness! ... show more

This product works as advertised. I had a nagging lower back pain for months and try other products, but this is the first one that actually worked within minutes. I really like the roller applicator for hard to reach places on my back.
