UPDATE: Seller was quick to respond and send out a replacement piece. One of the side pieces for the drawers is drilled wrong so it won't lock together. Contacted seller and will adjust review once I found out if I can get a replacement part or not.

    • No guides for the lower 2 drawers !!!
I used, as always, a dab of wood glue at all seams to make sure my units have the best strength after being assembled..... takes longer, but the units are much more rigid. But, unlike the gun drawer that has side glide rails, the 2 lowers draws DO NOT ! So, the draws just flop down after pulling them out to extend them. Sure, they have 2 pins which keep them from totally falling out when extended, but come on...... how cheap is that to have no guide rails for ALL the draws !!! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Pros: Easy to put together Different colored lights and light settings Looks nice Not too pricey Nice to have a phone charger display Love the idea and think it's great. Cons: The insert shown in the picture is not what is sent so you may have to buy your own foam to put your fire arms on. I cut the one they sent and didn't love it afterwards. The magnet for the lock broke so I put it back in and after assembly realized I put it upside down so the lock does not work. Magnets that are opposite reject should have remember from kindergarten (Kind of my fault) The drawer does not lign completely up so there is a gap when you close the top drawer by a quarter inch. ... show more

The charging piece for the phone is disconnected I can see the wires coming out the bottom pretty dissatisfied had to tinker with the drawer bc it wouldn't lock in place.

    • Clever Locking Drawer
I love the locking mechanism on the top drawer. I'm keeping this nightstand by my bed, but I'm not pleased with everything about it. First, the major issue: it's too short. I had to put six inch wooden blocks underneath it to bring it to the height of my wife's nightstand. Six inches too short is a lot. It definitely feels like they made it that short to cut costs, not because they felt it was the right height for a nightstand. Second: I wish there had been a darker wood color available. The only wood grain color was "brown" which was a shade of brown that wasn't dark enough for me, but I can live with it. Third: the placement of the phone charging pad with USB outlets is bad. It's toward the rear (great!) but centered in such a way that, if you put a lamp on your nightstand (as most people do) it's going to overlap on to the charge station. The LED lighting is pretty cool it has a feature where it detects your presence and turns the light on when you come near and then turns it off a little bit after you leave. I found that it would detect me sometimes rolling over in bed and that got annoying, but it's not 100% triggered, so I think I may be able to get this to work satisfactorily with some fiddling. I would definitely recommend this nightstand for the locking drawer alone. ... show more

I wanted to give lower stars, but when it is finished it isn’t too bad. First off, I have put together many boxed furniture pieces, some were entire storage cabinets, and this one took me much longer than it should. I think from start to finish it was three hours. Most due to the drawer that once assembled would not go back far enough to engage the latch. I had to disassemble the drawer and slides and start that part over again. I absolute could not line up the pre drilled holes to make this work and had to add two new ones. I tried every position I could find and not way would the two holes line up. It works fine now, but that was quite an ordeal to make the fix after total assembly. I had one part that was mislabeled, but it was fairly intuitive to assemble. It cracked the finish at every area that the assembly screws were inserted. I had to break though every one. I had a couple of small screws that stripped out immediately, but seems to hold tight despite the issues. Some items that would be a significant improvement: a remote to work the LEDs, and a wider range of colors on the strip. As of now it is blue, warm white and white. Each will dim appropriately. I think a real plugin might have been nice too. I think to step this up a notch, drawer glides on the bottom two drawers would be a nice addition. As of now it is wood on wood. I might add some felt to smooth the movement. Overall, it came out fairly sturdy and looks ok. I doubt I would order again and put this together. I would have this if someone else put it together, so the final finished piece is good. It is very short, so take note of that too. Maybe 3.5 stars. ... show more
