I had to get a zipper cover for an 8” mattress with a 2” topper because the topper keeps sliding off. The first thing I noticed is how noisy this is. Then as I unfolded it how flimsy. Unlike most mattress covers, this only zips along either the top or bottom, making it difficult to get even the mattress in. Then it tore. As I went to zip the bag, the zipper fell off. Because my partner threw the bag out, we’re forced to keep it and had to use duct tape on the huge tear so it looks horrible until we get a new one. I don’t see this being very comfortable either. It also barely—and I mean BARELY fit the 10”, so it’s clearly not a 13” cover ... show more

Excellent choice. I was able to fit 2 mattresses into one and holds up great. Easy to clean and when laying on it I don't hear it making noises and I can't even tell it's on there. It protects the mattress from everything

This is a SUPER thin vinyl material, that will tear if you are not very careful putting it on. However, once on, it does the job of protecting the mattress, so I am giving it 4 stars, because at this price, it's worth it as an extra layer of protection for a rental, mostly to proof against bedbugs and lice and other critters that can get into the mattress itself. On top of this, I use a nice padded waterproof mattress pad in addition to the sheet. The purpose of this is INSECT protection, not just water. I used it on a 8" mattress and there wasn't a lot of give. I would NOT use it on any mattress over 10", it probably will not fit, or be difficult to get on. Recommending this is difficult, because again, it's very thin, and I have no idea how durable. But until it tears, there will never be a reason to remove it. It's like a thick garbage bag, NOT thick. But where are you going to find a complete mattress protector at this price? So, with the price and functionality in mind, I am happy to give it 4 stars. Just be sure you have a helper when putting it on, especially a larger one, so you do not tear it, it is easy to tear if you aren't careful! ... show more

If you are using on a spare bed with no pets it might be worth it . Tears easily just from moving the bed onto the frame. Noisy so my son asked if he could please not use it lol .

I bought this to be an inner liner for a futon couch (in which the mattress is also the entire cushion) to protect it from our pets. Straight out of the package, this smelled bad. It is definitely not odorless, but I planned to cover it with another cloth cover for easy cleaning. I made sure to be extremely careful when wriggling the mattress into it, but that did not matter. It ripped when I was almost done. The rip was on the bottom side, and I had already spent more time than I should have to get it on that far, so I decided to leave it on as it should still do what I bought it for as long as the top did not rip, too. Once it was situated for zipping up, I started to zip it up and the zipper just peeled right off the cover. Luckily, I realized this was happening and only got 6" of it pulled off before I stopped to hold it in place and zip it the rest of the way up. I could probably glue it back in place, but that is more effort than this cheap thing is worth, especially since it rips so easily. I would not trust it to be washed in the washing machine as it is advertised. Would not buy again or recommend and will probably be replacing it come time to wash the outer cover. ... show more
