I love DMC floss so much. It's just so vibrant and has a good texture. This is a must have set for anyone seriously into embroidery. It's a great price (or was at the time of purchase) and I don't think I will run out of black or white anytime soon. It's just what I needed and wanted.

I received a gift of non-DMC floss and ended up returning that and buying this item, so this was a nice gift tin for me. You can probably get the floss cheaper at a local craft store if you don't want/need the tin BUT this was a good way to restock my supply of my most used colors and get a nice DMC tin to store odds/ends. The collector's tins that I have gotten before were very shallow with a larger length and width which I didn't find useful and ended up disposing of almost immediately. This tin is a bit deeper and is about 5x7 inches which is a good size to store some of the extras that I don't use very often.

I love getting embroidery thread in tins. I'm not sure why, but I do. This one gets used a lot as it has such a wide variety of grays and whites. I will be buying skeins I use up at my local store and re-supplying this stock!

Great product and is exactly what I wanted! However I took one star away for the glue and tape on the floss. And the tin had a few tiny dents. It is interesting how the tin was not protected as much in shipment. I understand that it is to ensure the quality of the product during shipment but it was tedious separating the floss from the plastic. Additionally, some glue residue remained on the floss and began to attach to the other floss. I personally think the padding that was added to the package is perfect enough without the use of glue and tape on plastic.

Very nice tin of DMC floss

Though I use many colors in my cross-stitch patterns, the monochrome colors are the ones I need to replace most often. This is a great set in a lovely tin. Each row of 12 skeins is attached to a plastic piece, so you can remove what you need. Below the two layers of embroidery floss, the tin is nicely padded. One could remove the padding and use this for notions, or for a small project. I will likely keep the foam padding in the tin and use the floss first. There are two patterns included: one embroidery and one cross-stitch. Those are a bonus feature. All in all, a lovely option. I trust DMC floss for heirloom quality products, tried and true for decades. I didn’t know it was made in France: I learn something new every day!
